I couldn't believe it. The man that I had looked up to, admired almost to the point of worship, was murdering my friends right in front of me. I backed away as my best friend screamed her last breath, and he turned toward me. His eyes were filled with hatred as he stared me down. I hit solid wall as I backed into the corner, "You have two options," he said, a viscous undertone to his voice. "You can join me or you can join the jedi scum that couldn't stand against me."

I was shaking with fear and I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes, but I pulled together enough courage to look up at him with what I hoped was defiance, "I wouldn't join you if it was the last thing I did, Anakin Skywalker!"

"Then die, child" he growled and pulled his light saber. I pulled mine out and activated it. In a desperate attempt to protect myself, I dodged his first attack and lunged at him, but he anticipated my every move.

It was hot, blindingly, searing, hot. The light saber sank into my chest, just missing my heart, but it was over, and I was dead. There's no saving you once you're run through by a light saber, it's the first thing you learn when you start training. The last thing I thought was, 'If this man isn't stopped, all of my friends will have died in vain. Oh God, please don't let that happen.' Then everything faded off into darkness, and, in the end, it didn't hurt at all.
