Hotch stared at Prentiss in amazement as she laughed at something JJ said and still ran her hand up his leg. He sucked in a breath and then let it out as her hand traveled back down his leg instead of closer to what he wouldn't be able to hide if he were to stand up right now.
Prentiss felt Hotch take in a deep breath and smiled. She loved that she could affect him this way. She was trying to get him to admit that he loves her. They have been together for three months or so now and neither of them had said the words. She wanted to tell him but she wanted him to be the one to say it first.
Hotch knew that Prentiss was trying to get him to say I love you first. If she kept doing what she was doing then he would end up embarrassing himself. He decided that he would be the first one to say the words. It wasn't that he was scared to say the words because he knew that she loved him back.
Hotch tapped Prentiss on her shoulder and when she looked over at him he smiled. "I love you Emily. I love your smile. I love your laugh. I love the way you talk. I love the way your eyes light up when you see Jack. I love the way you are always there for those you love. Most of all I love you because you have made my life better. I love the fact that no matter if you are doing something or not if Jack calls to talk to you, you always make time for him. I just love everything about you."
Prentiss knew she had a smile that was a mile wide on her face but she didn't care. Her eyes brightened as she listened to Hotch list all of the reasons that he loved her. She knew he was sweet but she never knew he could be this sweet. She turned in her seat fully and looked at him. She could see the nervousness in his eyes and she gave him a reassuring smile before leaning in to give him a short but sweet kiss.
"I love you too Aaron. I love the look in your eyes when you look at me. I love the way you're eyebrows furrow when you are thinking about something. I love the way your dimples show up when you smile. I love the way how you are always there for our friends and family. Most of all I love you because of the way that you show me each and every day that you love me. I love you because you are a great boyfriend, a wonderful father and a fantastic leader. I just love everything about you." Prentiss said.
Hotch smiled making his dimples show and ended up making Prentiss laugh. Before either one could say anything else their lips were on one another.
