Roxanne Weasley was not exceptionally intelligent. She did not have superior Quidditch skills and did not really have a knack for magic. All in all, Roxy was a pretty average girl. But there was one thing she could do better than anyone she had ever met; she could sleep. It was actually quite impressive. People partying and teachers talking had no effect on her ability to go out and stay out, and awakening her was a difficult task. She spent half of all her school holidays sleeping for hours uninterrupted. Most of the time, she quite liked this ability. This was not one of those times.
"Roxy, Roxy you gotta wake up!" She could hear her brother Fred's voice and she could feel him shaking her, but she saw no need to heed him.
"Goawaysleeping," she mumbled and turned over on her other side.
"No, you don't understand. You have to get up and look at the clock. The train leaves in fifteen minutes!" This statement seemed to stir her the necessary amount and she looked at the clock.
"What?" She screamed and flung the blankets off. "Oh no, oh no, oh no."
It was easily one of the most impressive dressing and packing sequences that the Weasley household had ever witnessed. Everything that looked remotely important was thrown into her trunk in the corner of the room with the express hope that it would close once she was done. Roxanne was in such a rush to get everything together, she didn't even bother with makeup or a shirt that was remotely her size (a leftover of Fred's that could pass for a knee length dress was the first thing she grabbed). By the time Roxanne figured she had enough stuff in her trunk to survive a few days before her parents could send her the rest, there were only seven minutes until the train left. Things were not looking good for Roxanne to make it on time.
She stumbled down the steps with her trunk lumbering behind her (also forgetting for the moment that she was seventeen years old and fully capable of levitating instead of lifting it), and ran straight into her father.
"Whoa now," George said as he picked himself and his daughter off the floor. He took in Roxy's disheveled appearance and the somewhat crazed look in her eyes. "You heading somewhere, love?"
"The train! It leaves in four minutes and I just woke up and I'm going to be late and I'll miss my seventh year of school and I'll never graduate and-"
"What are you going on about?"
"The train, it"
"It's August 31st. You've got another 24 hours before the train leaves."
Roxanne looked at him with a black stare, processing the information. He pointed to the calendar on the far wall, which still clearly read August. She looked from that to her father, who still looked a little perplexed, then to her brother, who was barely holding in his laughter.
"Your face, absolutely priceless!"
It took more than a few minutes to separate Fred from his sister, who had used both her wand and her fists to punish her brother as she saw fit. But Roxanne Weasley was most definitely on time for the Hogwarts Express the next day.
A/N: Just for fun and stuff. Hope you enjoyed it and it made you laugh!
