(A/N: I realize it's after Halloween, but I don't really care. I wanted to write a Halloween blackwater, and this is when I decided to do it.)

Costumed Love

"I wanna heal; I wanna feel like I'm close to something real

I wanna find something I've wanted all along

Somewhere I belong"-Linkin Park, Somewhere I belong

Ding dong.

Leah groans and walks over to the door. "Halloween's been over for two hours now!" Leah feels like screaming. But she doesn't. She opens the door to find…Jacob Black?

"Trick or treat," Jacob says, grinning sheepishly.

"Sorry, Jake," Leah says. "We're all out of candy. Come again next year." She starts to close the door, but Jacob sticks his foot in the way. "What do you want?" Leah asks.

"To talk to you," Jacob answers. "Outside, preferably. Unless, of course, you're afraid of spirits that come out on Halloween night."

Leah makes a face. "I'm not afraid," she says.

"Then come on already." Jacob says.

Leah sighs and walks outside. "What's up, Jake?" she asks.

"Nothing," Jacob answers. "Walk with me. Talk with me."

"Where are we going?"

"Somewhere."

"Tell me right now, Jacob Black, or I'll…"

"Sheesh! Do you have something against surprises? I'm not trying to murder you or anything. Besides, we're almost there."

Jacob rolls his eyes as he leads Leah into the woods. The trees have been decorated with strings of lights, and the small area of light is eerie in the darkness.

"You did this, didn't you, Jake?" Leah asks quietly.

"Mmm hmm," Jacob says, nodding his head.

"It's beautiful." Leah studies the beauty of each tree, wanting to remember this moment for some reason.

"But why?" she asks.

"'Cause I felt like it," Jacob answers. "Does everything have to have a reason?"

"Nooo…I guess not. But now tell me the real reason."

"Nothing gets past you, does it, Leah?" Jacob sighs. "I thought now would be a good time to tell you…that I love you, Leah. I…hoped you would…maybe feel the same way." Jacob bites his bottom lip nervously.

Leah wonders how she didn't see this coming. "Of course, Jake," she says quietly, her voice getting a bit higher than normal. "But why now? And, I mean-"

"Leah," Jacob interrupts. "Has anyone ever told you that you ask too many questions?"

Leah grins. "I'll stop," she says. She walks into Jacob's arms, which feel made for her.

As Jacob begins to kiss her, starting with her forehead and making his way down to her lips, he mumbles, "Remember when we were younger, on Halloween, that time you dressed up as an angel?"

"Remember when you were superman?" Leah says.

"You're no angel, Leah."

"Yeah, well, you're no superman, either."

"I love you anyways," Jacob mumbles as their lips finally collide.

(A/N: Was the ending a little awkward? I thought it might have been. Then again, it is blackwater, and when is that ever awkward? Reviews are love!)
