Sorry it's so short. Hope you enjoy enough to review :D

"I'm sorry, Max. I had to leave. You have to understand that." He whispered, staring at the girl's hands as they clenched and unclenched in the blankets.

"I'm dreaming, aren't I? I'm going to wake up, and you're going to be gone again."

"No, I'm not. I'm not leaving anymore." Dark eyes closed tiredly as Fang tried to think of how to prove that he was really there, that this was reality.

"He is real, Max. You're not asleep." The vice drifted through the room, almost like a wayward current, making the leader's head snap around towards where it had come from.

Angel stood there, wild halo of golden ringlets glowing faintly with the backlight from the hall. She looked like strung out, like an angel who had just fallen. He cheeks were flush from sleep, and her knee length pink nightgown was mussed, wrinkled in different directions. The frilly lace that lined the long sleeve brushed her fingertips as they gripped the bottom of her sleep attire.

"Angel? This is the first time you've been in my dreams." Chocolate eyes blinked confusedly at the girl.

"Because it's not a dream." The statement was soft, clouds formed and pushed into words that floated out celestially.

Now, the elder cocked her head to the side like a confused puppy.

"Really?"

The girl just smiled sweetly before nodding.

There was a long pause before Fang found himself on the ground with a stinging cheek.

"'Bout time you came back."

The raven stared at the raving girl for a moment before averting his eyes and rising, taking her in his arms gently, like porcelain or glass. Angel smiled, knowing the boy had it handled, so she slipped soundless back down the hall and to her bedroom.
