Kurt remembers sitting in front of his TV and dreaming of the day when someone would sweep him off his feet and take his breath away.
Kurt remembers that, as he grew up in this godforsaken town, he wished harder and harder for his prince to save him. He also remembers that he became more and more certain it would never happen.

Kurt remembers transferring to Dalton Academy and falling faster and harder for his new best friend. He remembers them singing a flirty duet around Christmastime and he remembers he heart being shattered on Valentine's Day.
Kurt remembers the death of his poor bird Pavarotti and he remembers decorating the tiny casket. He remembers Blaine's speech – "Kurt, there is a moment when you say to yourself 'Oh, there you are. I've been looking for you forever….You move me. And this duet would just be an excuse to spend more time with you." – and he remembers his first real kiss.
Kurt remembers transferring back to McKinley. He remembers being crowned Prom Queen and slow dancing in front of everyone with his boyfriend.
Kurt remembers his first flight on an airplane and he remembers the first time he stepped foot in New York City. He remembers the feeling of complete dejection when Mr. Schue tells them they didn't place at Nationals and he remembers Santana's rant at Rachel and Finn. He remembers coming home to Blaine's waiting arms and he remembers how his heart stopped when Blaine first says "I love you."
Kurt remembers the summer that they spent together, sitting curled up on the grass together, having picnics. He remembers the nights they sat arms and legs tangled up with each other as they sat on the couch and watched the Bachelorette. He remembers all the warm days they spent just enjoying each other's company without the hassles of having to work around school schedules.
Kurt remembers the beginning of his senior year. He remembers Blaine transferring to McKinley because he says "I can't stand to be apart from the person I love". Kurt remembers auditions for West Side Story and the insults he received from people he thought were his friends. He remembers how amazing Blaine's audition was and how perfect it seemed for him to give him a bouquet of flowers in celebration.
Kurt remembers meeting Sebastian Smythe who made it his business to get in Blaine's pants. He remembers going to Scandals and his first real fight with Blaine. He remembers how proud he was watching Blaine perform as Tony. He remembers Blaine's apology. Most importantly, Kurt remembers how much Blaine takes his breath away.
And as he lies here, his nose pressed to Blaine's, his hand resting on Blaine's chest, Blaine's hand wrapped around his wrist, their knees interlocked, Kurt remembers when he was lonely and sad and never thought this moment would come.
And Kurt knows that, no matter what happens from here on in, he will always remember this exact moment as the moment that he realized he had found everything he had ever wanted in his life – his prince.
