Raven found herself suffocating from Summer's motherly instincts.

She understood where she was coming from nonetheless. She knew she just wanted to be there for her daughter and vice versa. Hell. They were living in a pretty messed up world where they fought creatures that looked like demonic animals and figures with their only natural shield being blunt willpower. Strength was a key element to living in Remnant and luckily for the little runts that attend school, the two women were full of it.

If anyone was to ask how powerful Raven was, she would compare her strength to that of a Goliath. She has the strength to pick up an Ursa with one arm and toss it back like it's a feather. She has the power to crush down an entire building with her bare hands and save anyone she finds in utter trouble without breaking a sweat. Then again, she had to admit that these were words delivered from huntsmen, huntresses and head masters that she's worked with. So her description could be nothing more than a myth.

Summer though? She was the embodiment of a goddess if you had ever seen one. She has the power to change the world with a simple swing of her hand, she can change the course of wind with the palm of her hand and create hurricanes with a uppercut. She has one of the deadliest weapons concealed on her back at all times; A double sided scythe, spray painted and colored in a fine coat of white that blends into the snow of winter and gray that blends to red, capturing the soul of Grimm and the blood of ghost all around her. She was a power house... But once again.

This could be considered nothing more than a myth.

Who wouldn't create myths on them? They were part of Beacon's most popular and well-made group. Not to mention, they had made great scores on the entry exam, passed all their classes and tests, made it to the finals two times and came out champions in the Vytal Festival. They also moved on to become the best hunters and huntresses in all of Remnant... Well. To a degree...

But lord knows they were nowhere near close to the best parents.

Not long after their graduation from the Academy, team STRQ broke up as a team, but they would stay bonded as a family. Summer and Raven had a thing for their blonde hair male teammate, Taiyang Xiao Long, which resulted in the birth of both Yang Xiao Long and Ruby Rose. Unfortunately, not long after the birth of an infant Ruby, the man disappeared, going head first into a dangerous mission. But never coming back...

The black haired female's best friend and twin brother, Qrow Branwen tried to help both of them in parenthood, but he wasn't the brightest of parents himself. As a matter of fact, he was bit too carefree, which didn't rub off Summer the best of ways. And also too lazy, which served to piss Raven off almost every second he would come home... Still, this didn't taint the childhood of either teenager that inhabited in the small wooden home.

Ruby and Yang were still strong enough to be great children and fighters as they grew up with their mothers and in their house. The small redhead grown to learn arts with her precious scythe, Cresent Rose, and how to control her unique semblance of speed. Yang had become a hard hitter just like her father and bi polar like her mother. Aside from such, she fought well herself, mastering in street fighting and boxing.

Both parents loved their children as if they were everything to them. The love between them could be categorized as a blossoming friendship rather than a bond between mother and daughter. They would do almost everything together whether it would be go see a movie, go shopping, paint nails and talk about cute boys... Well, Ruby and Summer did most of that. Which lead to a dysfunctional relationship between the hooded females.

Because of her hanging around her almost every day of her life, the past young huntress made it her goal to take care of her child for the rest of her life until the day she died. Which, Raven must admit, was very nice and helpful of the young one. But would also leave her in a crazy position...

Summer was dying.

.

.

Emotionally.

She had been rolling on her bed like a mad man, having a mental seizure and screaming eternally into her pillow as if it was horrifying or killing her. Her long but small white complex legs served as weapon in irritating her bed-mate, who was a tired Raven. Her apple cherry shaded eyes were wide open and her body was frozen solid as if she was experiencing sleep paralysis. She could feel her best friend unintentionally go for her back and ass in a pattern with her body.

It didn't seem to irritate her until she felt her body shiver a bit. She curled up into a ball and groaned in annoyance. Suddenly, after a few more minutes of torturing her with calls of help, maniac movements and hogging the covers, Raven growled to roar out loud as she harshly pushed her friend out of bed, "Quit your shit, Summer!"

The younger woman revealed herself in her pajamas, consisting of a oversize bright yellow muscle shirt that used to belong to Taiyang and coal black shorts. Staring up at her in shock with her coin silver eyes, the female hopped back in bed and wrapped her arms and legs around her as if she was a koala to her tree. "Hey! Why did you push me out of bed?! Why do you break my heart! You know I love you~," She whined playfully through tears, nuzzling her soft little cheek on her friend's fair complex one.

"That's great and all, but look at what you are doing to yourself," The older female shouted back as she cupped her face so she could look at her. "You're self destructing over our kids doing something as simple as going to school! It's not like they are going to war or whatever."

"That's because a certain someone does not care about the safety of our children," She hissed at her and hopped out of her hold like a frog to approach the end of the door way leading into the hallway. As Raven growled once more with a roll of her eyes harshly, Summer continued while pointing down at her similar to a pest intensely, "Raven Branwen, I must inform you once more that you are a mother! And as a mother you must worry about the state of your daughter! Of your pride and joy!"

"I seriously should've listened to those counselors," She whispered under her breath, regretting the rushed art of family therapy. Sighing heavily, she got up in her own pajamas, an all black bed clothes set with small sheep patterned on it in embarrassment, to place an reassuring hand on her teammate. "Summer. You are stronger then this, Ruby and Yang can protect themselves, they've been training with Qrow anyways. Look on the bright side. They're also being watched by Ozpin and Glynda."

"I guess you do have a point," Summer hummed, causing Raven to nod lightly and hum with her.

"And Professor Oobleck and Port will be there to watch over them too," She continued through the resurfacing serenity. "They'll teach them even more tips and ways to survive a fight out in the world."

"Yeah... Yeah, you're right!"

"And if all hell was to break loose, we could go save them then with Qrow, the headmasters, the teachers, and good ol' Atlas-." Suddenly, at the mention of chaos and the one kingdom that only lived to bring off negativity, Summer's persuasion had failed. Her supportive demeanor transformed into that of a worried and angered mother once more as she groaned sadly, whining into her small hands.

"That doesn't help. You lose. Game over," She panicked, her words slipping off her tongue at lighting speed. "They're gonna die. Ka boom. Gone. Dead. The only way they're gonna come back is in body bags- OH MY GOD! BODY BAGS!" This immediately made the young one begin to cry heavily and squeal as loud as she could.

"God damn it, Summer," Raven grumbled to herself then pulled Summer close, making blood meet iron as she told her sternly, "Believe in them. You have no choice to... Think about what. Taiyang would want you to do. He would want you to waste no time and let his girls seize their moment! You have to have faith in them, Rosy. I believe in them. Now's your turn to too..."

"... You're absolutely right," Summer agreed with a sweet innocent smile and nod. "They're our daughters after all."

"The best daughters we could ever ask for," Raven added sincerely before slowly letting go of her to head into the kitchen. When she got in there, she started to look around for something to prepare for breakfast, humming to herself in the process. Though Summer had agreed with her bed mate to forgive and forget, she couldn't help but keep thinking about her sweet little Ruby and adorable Yang... "I was thinking of making some waffles~! How does that sound," She questioned while looking at the other black haired female.

"Um sure... Raven... Are you sure there is no way we can get into the Academy," She asked, rubbing her arm nervously and looking down at the ground a bit.

"No, I'm very sorry," She told her quietly, looking right at her while she said that. "The only way I know of we could see the kids is by going on special events such as the Vytal Festival or a parent teacher conference if they're in trouble, which will probably be because of Yang. That party animal.. Or if we were teachers. But that would never happen..."

The air around them suddenly began to get colder, sending chills slithering down Raven's spine. It was as if everything had became darker suddenly. The life force in everything had vanished in thin air. Horror music could be heard faintly in her head as he eyes went wide in utter fear. Her jaw dropped slightly but nothing came out, not even oxygen. She was basically a statue that reflected on all that happened around her. On what she was doing. And most importantly, what she had just said...

"What was it you said about teachers again," Summer whispered into her ear in creepy curiosity, giggling a bit like a mad man.

"...

I just want to kill myself..."
