Lanie fanned herself with the paper in her hand. It was scorching outside, and the heat was killing her, so much so she folded up Very Important Documents just to get a little air. The windows in her and her wife's house were all open, kept in their position by everything from a troll skull to Lilifet's personal weapons. Who knew Wuuthrad made such a good window-propper?
She heard the twins, her and Lilifet's adopted daughters, groan angrily at the heat. Rune stomped out, whining and laying her sweaty hair on Lanie, who started to fan her daughter also. Lucy wasn't too far behind her, following in her sisters steps. They weren't actually doing much for how hot it was by merging their own heat with their mothers, but the slight breeze the makeshift fan gave of made a great difference to the sweaty nords.
They heard a more feline like groan, and they all prepared themselves for Lilifet's approach, looking towards the stairs. Lilifet shuffled down the wooden stairs, listening to their creeks and groaning even louder. As she reached the bottom, she saw the scene before her, and joined her daughters in the 'smother Lanie with heat and love but mostly heat' endeavor. A noble cause indeed.
Lanie yelped as her wife's weight was added to her lap, as well as her current body temperature.
She felt like a furnace.
Lanie soon went to struggling, trying to break free of the sweaty cuddle pile that was going on in her living room, but her efforts were in vain as Lilifet, that strong and brave warrior Lanie married, held on even tighter, purring like a kitten and chanting 'accept the love!'
Their children joined in.
"Come on mama! Accept the love!" Lucy chirped, Rune quick to join her sister's sentence with a, "Yea!"
"How do you stand this?!" Lanie whined, still struggling to get away, asked the cat she loved so dearly.
"Do you forget where I'm from?" Lilifet laughed, her amusement clear by how loudly the noise boomed.
Right, Lanie was married to a Khajiit, and where did they live? That blasted desert land, where cuddle piles were probably an everyday thing since everyone was smashed 90% of the damn time.
Or maybe she was just irritated, dehydrated, and being a little racist.
Either way, she let out a pleading whine, wiggling in Lilifet's grasp to try and convince the ferocious feline to let her go. It didn't work yet again, but Lilifet understood the message and nodded. "Yes, desperate times call for desperate measures!" She, proclaimed, letting go of Lanie with one hand, but keeping the other tightly wrapping around her. The most beautiful thing Lanie saw that day was the site of her wife using the frostbite spell, chilling the air in the house in minutes.
Lilifet watched as Rune and Lucy pretty much collapsed, both laying in the floor and enjoying the new found cool. Lanie sighed happily, kissing her wife's cheek, "Thank you." She smiled.
