"Hey Kevin I don't think this is such a good idea"
Kevin smiled and took the hand of his boyfriend who was currently teetering dangerously in a pair of roller blades. "Just relax and find your centre" he said calmly.
"I don't even know what that is Kevin!"
"Just imagine you're dancing, you have good balance"
"Not on wheels!"
Kevin sighed an amused smile still on his face. Connor was always trying to teach Kevin new things, like dancing and cooking, and he had never failed to laugh when Kevin made a fool of himself. Well now Kevin felt it was high time to make a fool of Connor, which was why the two of them had donned roller blades and were now standing on the top of a reasonably steep hill. The whole morning had been spent teaching Connor to move in straight lines and turn, so Kevin had now guided him to the next challenge.
Kevin had no fear for his boyfriend's safety and on the plus side, he thought Connor looked kinda cute with all those pads on, a little auburn hair peeking out from the helmet.
"Ok, now just take a few small steps to the top and shuffle forward a bit and away you'll go!" He waited for a few moments but Connor remained completely still. "I could give you a push-"
"No Kevin"
Connor adopted a determined expression and put one foot forward only to promptly fall over. Kevin, with hawk like reactions, immediately swooped down to catch him and rose with Connor in his arms effortlessly balanced on the precarious wheels. Kevin laughed "You look just like an angry kitten when you're frustrated"
"Don't laugh Kevin it's not funny"
Kevin snorted
"That's it I'm not doing it anymore"
Kevin leant down and planted a soft kiss on Connor's nose. "How about now?"
Connor raised his eyebrows keeping the unimpressed expression on his face. Kevin shrugged and leant down again to place a full kiss on Connor's lips. "How about now?"
Connor shook his head. He carefully worked his way out of Kevin's hold and slowly shuffled in the other direction. Kevin watched him go a few metres then glided round in front of him and caught him in his arms again. "Ok, how about we try something new"
Connor looked warily up at him. "Go on"
Kevin guided Connor back to the edge and then moved behind him. "How about we go down together?" He wrapped his arms around Connor's chest and held him close. Connor felt himself go all tingly as Kevin's muscular body pressed into him.
Connor allowed his free arms to grip tightly to the top of Kevin's legs. "Ready?" Kevin said close to his ear. Connor gulped and nodded silently. "Then off we go"
Kevin shuffled forward a few paces then took a large stride and the two men flew over the top of the hill and began whizzing down the other side. Connor immediately opened his mouth and shrieked while Kevin just held tighter and laughed. Connor continued to scream most of the way down. "You could try and enjoy yourself Con!" Kevin shouted above the noise of rushing air.
Connor tentatively let go of Kevin's thighs and brought them shakily upwards. He kept going until they were stuck out Titanic style. As he realised that with Kevin's strong safety he wasn't going to hurt himself, his shrieks of terror turned into shrieks of delight.
The pair laughed gleefully together, Connor still feeling a jolt in his stomach every time they went over a bump but the ground was levelling out.
The two slowed down and eventually stopped as they reached flat ground. Connor was gasping, his heart thumping, a wide grin on his face.
"Again again again!" He tried to bounce while keeping his feet firmly on the ground. Kevin chuckled "I said it would be fun"
Connor twirled round, almost gracefully maintaining his balance. His cheeks were flushed and he was smiling like an excited child. He stood up on his tiptoes gripping onto Kevin's arms for support and kissed him fully on the lips.
