Insane is amazing. He is amazing, too.
He's perfect on the outside.
The gentle prince his people want him to be, the caring son his mother wanted him to be. On the battle fields, he's the heir his father wanted him to be, ruthless, brutal and winning.
On the battle fields, he finally can let out what truly rests inside him. The side of him no one wants to see, and the side he wants no one to see. It's a side nobody should know about, that's why he naturally gets rid of everyone that sees this side of him just once.
He also got rid of parents.
They're gone and he doesn't care any more.
His people start talking, thinking he wouldn't notice, but of cause he does. He easily sees through the masks they put on, trying to fool him, but in the end they're the fools for thinking they could put on masks in front front of him, the king of masks. Their masks are nothing compared to his ones, there's nothing interesting about them. They are boring and it takes him no effort to see through them, even when they thought they surround themselves in complete haze, he sees what they truly are. He knows their doubts, knows that they think such a young boy can't handle the burden of a king.
He hates their masks, hates them, hates how they even start making him hate his own mask as well. Although in the end, when he gives up his mask, showing his true self to them, they are the ones suffering.
Well, let's see what they'll think of the young king that executed them. Let's see what they'll think of him when their heads are falling onto the floor, just because he wants them to.
Let's see if they'll still dare to doubt him.
It's not that he hasn't tried to save them, it's their fault for betraying him, for thinking they're better than him and he enjoys the sight of seeing every single head slowly falling onto the ground. He enjoys the short moments of silence when they finally stop begging for mercy, hoping he'd let them have another chance to betray him.
He loves hearing the cries of their families, he loves seeing the shocked expressions of the crowd. He loves watching the light fading away in their eyes.
He loves breaking the silence with his own laughter, because it's funny, it's too funny, why can't they see it?
He really loves himself.
