A/N Hi Madness here this is my first fan fiction. Please tell me what I could do to make it better. Thanks for reading enjoy!
Update: Hello there! Sorry it's been awhile since I last updated, but I noticed my views have dropped a bit. I knew exactly why of course because the writing format for the first couple of chapters was extremely awkward, the writing sucked, there was no story, and I had too many chapters for one insignificant back story. Basically, I assume that it is the first couple of chapters' fault. I apologize for not fixing this sooner, and I have decided to rewrite it. Thank you to everyone who looked past these atrocious chapters, and stuck with me.
Disclaimer: I never have and never will own The Hunger Games franchise, or Victorious.
From the Treaty of the Treason: In penance for their uprising each district shall offer up a male and female between the ages of 12 and 18 at a public "Reaping." Those tributes shall be delivered to the custody of The Capitol. And then transferred to a public arena where they will Fight to the Death, until a lone victor remains. Henceforth and forevermore this pageant shall be known as The Hunger Games.
Tori Vega sat up in her bed with a smile on her face. Today was the day. Tori had been waiting for this since she was 8 years old, she was going to volunteer for the Hunger Games. She was going to win. She had been training for The Games for most of her life, and soon all of that will finally pay off when she would be showered in victory and praise from her district, the Capital, the President. She was already thinking about what she was going to say on the Victory Tour, but she would address that issue later, right now she just had to volunteer before anyone else. Easy. All of her training gave her fast reflexes along with skill in weaponry. Tori removed her silk sheets from her body and moved to her walk-in closet. She put her hair into a ponytail and changed into a yellow tank top and black leggings. She ate some breakfast and headed for the Training Center.
Tori pulled back the bowstring, took a breath, and then let go, hitting the target dead on. She repeated this, hitting the target dead on every time. Slow clapping started from behind her, echoing off of the walls.
"Nice job, Vega, maybe you will be able to keep up with me in a few years," Came a voice from the clapper. Tori turned around to see a girl with pale skin, black hair with a turquoise streak and an eyebrow piercing. It was none other than Jade West. She grabbed a few throwing knives and threw them at five target hitting them right in the middle in a matter of seconds. Tori retaliated by piercing her arrows that she'd just shot with a new arrow. Jade was just about to respond when 3 more people entered the room. A girl with tan skin and red hair, Cat Valentine, a boy with black, curly hair and glasses, Robby Shapiro, and an attractive boy with dark hair and tan skin, Beck Oliver, started to practice their desired weapon. Jade dismissed the first two, but glared at her ex-boyfriend. Beck kissed Tori's cheek before throwing a spear at the target.
"Hey, babe," He said smiling at her small blush.
"Hi, are you ready for today?" She asked excitedly returning his smile.
"Of course I am," He replied winking at her.
At the Reaping, Tori stood next to Cat in a medium length, strapless dress with a gold belt and gold strapped heels. Mayor Hilton, Cashmere, Gloss, and Sikowitz flounced onto stage. "Welcome, welcome, welcome! Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favor! Before we begin, I've brought with me a special treat from the Capital," Sikowitz began gesturing to the screen behind him.
"War, terrible war. Widows, orphans, a motherless child, this was the uprising that robbed our land. Thirteen districts rebelled against the country that fed them, loved them, protected them. Brother turned on brother, until nothing remained, and then came the peace. Hard fought, sorely won, a people rose up from the ashes and an era was born, but freedom has a cost, and the traitors were defeated. We swore as a nation that we would never know this treason again, and so it was decreed that each year the various districts of Panem would offer up in tribute, one young man and woman to fight to the death in a pageant of honor, courage, and sacrifice. The lone victor bathed in riches would serve as a reminder of our genorosity and our forgivness. This is how we remember our past, this is how we safe guard our future."
"Now, it is time to pick our tributes for the 78th annual Hunger Games! As usual, ladies first!" Sikowitz continued, grabbing a slip from the bowl. He unfolded it and read aloud, "Catrina Valentine,"
Almost immediately after he said it, Tori had reacted shouting, "I volunteer!" Tori strut onstage next to Sikowitz.
"We have a volunteer! What's your name?" Sikowitz asked.
"Victoria Vega," Tori said confidently.
"Well, let's give a warm round of applause to out volunteer," Sikowitz said. Applause started from the crowd. "Now, for the boys!" Sikowitz continued, sticking his hand into the bowl and pulling out a name. He unfolded it and read aloud, "Andre Harris!"
"I volunteer!" Came a voice. A boy with dark hair and brown eyes came onstage. It was Beck. He stood on the other side of Sikowitz.
"It looks like we have another volunteer! What's your name, son?" Sikowitz asked excitedly.
"Beck Oliver,"
"Shake hands," Sikowitz commanded. So they did.
"Let's give another round of applause for our tributes who will be representing district 1 in the 78th annual Hunger Games!" Sikowitz said. The Peace Keepers lead them into the Justice Building to say their goodbyes.
A/N: Okay there's the first chapter! Chapters will be kinda long just because I have written this for a while and I didn't intend to put it on here, but then I wanted to so yeah. (Update: I do realize that my chapters aren't long in any way possible and that my reason was irrelevant, carry on) I will try to update, but if no one reads it I don't know if I'll update it. If one person reads it then for sure I'll update. Anyway Bye!
