Disclaimer: I don't own Generator Rex, but I do own the plot of this story, the middle-aged brunette in this story, and Nora, and the home for homeless people in this story.
A.N.: This is a one-shot that takes place sometime after the end of Generator Rex. I have several OCs in this, Nora included. Also, Walter doesn't have a known last name, so I gave him a last name.
Walter found himself nervous on the steps of Parker's Homeless House, wondering whether or not the person he's looking for is inside or not. He knocks on the door almost impatiently, hoping to get out of the rain soon.
A middle-aged woman opens the door and stares at him wearily before asking, "Can I help you?"
For a moment Walter thinks of telling her it's the wrong door or something, but he doesn't, "I'm looking for a family member of mine."
The brown haired women nods, "I see... And what's your name?"
Walter shudders as the sky turns white and blue for a moment, then he glances back to her, "Uh, Walter Geoffrey. I-I'm looking for Nora Geoffrey?"
Looking up at the sky as rain continues to fall, the women steps back, motioning for him to follow as she speaks, "Yes, come on in."
He walks up the three small step-cases, then looks around the small and cozy sitting area of the home-like building.
There are at least twenty-something people in the room, and suddenly Walter feels out of place. He swallows hard when the brown haired woman shuts the door behind him, feeling trapped now.
He can't leave yet, though. He came here for a reason.
The middle aged brunette turns to him, then to the people sitting on different chairs, some on the floor, "Where's Nora?"
In the next moment a girl appears around the corner from what looks to be a kitchen and eating area. The girl pauses when she spots him, pushing some of her long orange hair from her face as her green eyes begin to water.
She's dressed in a plain blue T-shirt and faded, ripped-up jeans and sandals. No makeup, no jewelry, no hair decorations, and no question about that either. It is a home for homeless, after all.
Walter smiles a little, seeing that other than her pale skin, the circles beneath her eyes, and how skinny she is, she looks fairly healthy.
Quite abruptly, Nora runs forward, throwing herself in his arms. He quickly returns the embrace, tears of happiness filling his ocean blue eyes.
After nobody knows how long, Walter backs away a bit, smiling, "Nora, you don't have to stay here anymore...you can come and stay with me and my friends..."
Nora laughs a little, nodding, "I would like that..." then she reaches forward to hug him again, "I've missed you so much... After mom died..." she breaks off, swallowing hard.
Walter quickly shushes her, "It's okay... Nora, everything will be fine, now."
Somehow he know it's true. Everything will be fine now...now that they're reunited. Now that he and his sister are together again.
