First I wanted to make something about Barbara, Selina and Ivy, because I believe that there are potential in their relations. Then I thought: "Well, maybe I can make it about Ivy, Selina and Bruce in general?" And this is how this little thing started.

I accept prompts, but don't promise anything.

Trouble with ex-boyfriends

"Listen," Selina began. "I know that Jimmy boy is a great guy and all… but you have to forget about him and move on."

Barbara just told her and Ivy about what she had seen on the police station – her former fiancée, detective James Gordon kissing with the other woman. After spending so much time looking for a perfect dress to win him back, this view was a real downer. And now Barbara was sitting at the table and sipping wine, with the most miserable expression both girls have seen on her face so far.

"Okay, so he found another woman." The Cat continued. "So what? You can find a new boyfriend too. It's not like he's the only guy in the world. In fact," Selina smiled. "who needs boys! They are just waste of time."

Barbara rubbed her nose and looked at the girl with interest and even some kind of sadness. Then she smiled, but her smile was weak.

She didn't know why, but she liked to talk with those two girls. Maybe it was because they also knew Gordon a bit, or because they were the first females she encountered since the break up with Renee, nevertheless, spending time with them and talking about woman's stuff was fun and encouraged her to open up to those little urchins.

"You're probably right." She saddened and after short moment of silence asked both her guests: "Have you ever liked a boy, girls? Like, really liked?"

"Me? No." Selina snorted.

"Oh, really?" Ivy looked at her friend with a devious smirk. She even put her hands on her hips. "How about Bruce Wayne?" She spoke his name with mocking sweetness.

Selina gave her a death glare, but Ivy wasn't moved by it. She was still smirking. Barbara, on the other hand, looked at the older girl with surprise.

Of course, she knew, who Bruce Wayne was. After all, Jim was working on the case of Waynes' murder, when she and him were still together. Nevertheless, hearing boy's name from two little girls, especially in the context of one of them being supposedly in love with him, was odd, to say at least. But the more Barbara was thinking about it, it actually was making sense.

"Well, he is a millionaire, after all…" She said after a moment of thinking.

"Oh, not only that, but he's actually really cute too." Ivy added gleefully.

"Ivy, just shut up," Selina cut in. "or I will shut you up for good."

"You should see them both on the flea market." The redheaded girl ignored her. "They were walking around like a love couple." And then she started to giggle.

"Ivy!" Selina spoke to her even harsher, but her friend didn't stop giggling. So she hit the back of her head and when Ivy looked at her, she added: "We've been talking about this. It's a delicate matter."

Barbara was confused… and kind thirsty for information. Really, with those two in her apartment, she felt like she was on the never ending pajama party.

"So you've met Bruce Wayne?" She asked all of sudden.

Selina looked at her with wide eyes. Then she turned his yes on the floor with uneasiness and… was she blushing? It was probably the first time when Barbara have ever seen Little Miss "I Don't Give A Damn" embarrassed.

"Well…" Selina began, but then gazed at Barbara with stern look. "It's none of your business."

"Come on." Barbara smiled to her. "You can tell me. How is he like?"

"And why do you want to know?" Selina said, crossing her arms. "He's just a rich, spoiled brat. There's nothing special about him."

"I don't know, he seemed nice, when I've met him." Ivy cut in.

"Oh, yes, he was nice. He was so nice, he was making me sick." Selina replied. "He was constantly like: 'sorry', 'excuse me', 'thank you'… And he couldn't talk like a normal person, no! He had to use all those difficult, fancy words like he was some kind of college professor. Show off. Oh, and he was always pulling the weirdest shit ever. Like, he bought me a snow globe and was asking about me everywhere just to give it to me. Would you believe this little weirdo?"

Nevertheless, Barbara suspected that Selina wasn't telling the truth. Yes, she believed that the part about Bruce Wayne's politeness, large vocabulary and snow globe could be true, but the woman didn't believe that Selina was telling this all, because she thought about Bruce as some "spoiled brat". No, the teen wasn't hiding very well the fact that she liked the boy.

"But how did you meet him?" Barbara asked, still smiling.

Suddenly Selina stopped her bubbling and her expression changed immediately into more sorrowful one. Barbara regretted this question, because for a mere second it seemed that Selina will cry. However, the girl's face changed from sadness to anger. She stood up, took her jacket and directed towards the balcony.

"Selina, I'm sorry, I didn't want to…" Barbara began, but the Cat shot her a cold glare and said:

"I need a fresh air. I'll back later."

And then she left. Neither Barbara, nor Ivy stop her.

Selina was jumping from one rooftop to another, trying to occupy her mind with something cheerful. But she was constantly thinking about Bruce. And it was aching her to no end. It's not that she didn't like him, or never wanted to see him again. It's just that she knew that it wouldn't work out anyway, especially after this whole incident with assassins, She was more and more sure that it would be better if they both stayed as far away from each other as possible; if they forget about each other. He would be safer and she wouldn't have to worry that this little idiot will get into trouble.

Oh, who was she kidding, of course, he will get into trouble! He was Bruce Wayne – mister "Walking On The Roofs", "Testing Myself", "Master Detective", "Believing In Good" Bruce Wayne. But at least this time he won't get into trouble because of her.

Somehow, it wasn't making her feel any better. She was still remembering his heartbroken expression, when she told him that she wasn't his friend and she never saw his parents' murderer. To be fair, she was actually partly pissed off by his words (little bastard dared to patronize her), but after some time the anger faded away and the image of sad Bruce remained.

She wiped the tears that appeared in her eyes and proceeded to go back to Barbara's apartment.

When she finally entered the balcony of miss Kean's flat, the woman was standing there with a glass of wine and leaning on the barrier. Seeing Selina, she smiled softly, but when the girl stood in front of her, the woman got serious.

"Listen, I'm sorry about earlier. I was pushing too hard."

Selina gave her nonchalant smirk and leaned on the barrier, beside Barbara.

"I guess, we both have a stupid ex-boyfriends, we wish to forget about."

"I guess, we have." Barbara smiled. "But you said it yourself: Who needs boys?"

"Yeah, who needs them?"

Selina looked in the distance. Her smile remained on her face for a couple of seconds, before it started to weaken, when her mind returned to heartbroken Bruce.

There was some part of her, which wished to come back to the boy and explain it all to him. Maybe one day they will be friends again. When all this whole nightmare will be over, when she won't have to worry about assassins and when the kid will finally find out who killed his parents… maybe then she will be able to start again.

Because she knew that forgetting about him was impossible.
