This is an AU where after the Ninja Storm team fights off Lothor after his return from the Abyss of Evil, they keep their powers.

In a dojo in Panorama City

Jayden was headed to the kitchen to get a snack. He spotted some movement in the garden…and relaxed. It was just Ji planting some tomatoes.

He sighed. The Moogers were defeated, and they were unlikely to rise again so soon. However, he was just… so… bored. He almost felt like Deker, itching for some action in his stagnant life.

He smiled as he remembered Lauren's visit a few days ago. The two red rangers had engaged in a mock battle of sorts, which ended in a draw. She left to visit the people who had protected her after their father's death, although she promised to return soon.

From time to time had gotten letters from his old team members, which did help to alleviate the boredom sometimes.

Kevin was excited about his success in the Olympics. He had gotten second place. Although this was not first place, which he had originally aimed for, Kevin had reminded himself that his duty with the Power Rangers did take time away from swim practice. Now, in between Olympic tournaments, he was a lifeguard, who taught swimming lessons on the side.

Mia's letter had turned out to be a surprise. She was doing quite well in culinary school. Although she had unique recipe ideas from time to time, she had managed to whip them up with satisfying results. She was graduating in a few days.

Mike and Emily were doing well on the farm. Serena was getting a little better. She was still sick, but she wasn't close to her death. Despite his initial plans, Mike had stayed with Emily to help out. Jayden was happy for the two, sensing the love blossoming between the two former rangers.

Antonio had just gotten back from his exotic fishing cruise. His letter said that he would visit Jayden soon, and he would tell him all about it. Jayden smiled. He couldn't wait for his best friend's arrival.

Still… were a few monsters too much to ask for?

Jayden got his wish, as the Gap Sensor, silent for some time, lit up and worked again. Surprised, he read the map, double-checking the location. Blue Bay Harbor? Where was that? He eyed the blinking dot, and reached for his Samuraizer to call his old team.

At the Wind Ninja Academy

Shane watched over his students as they concentrated on harnessing the power of air. "Good, good," he said encouragingly, "now hold on to it, and...go!"

Squeals and whoops filled the air as they walked on air…literally.

Tori watched this, and scoffed, then turned to her students. "We can do better than that," she said mock-competitively. "Let's show them!"

Her students started running on water as they avoided water cannons powered by Tori herself.

Dustin watched his two former teammates and rolled his eyes. Then he looked into the earth, and projected his voice so he could be heard. "Okay. You guys are underground. Now use your powers to find your way to the surface." Excited giggles and whispers could be heard as the students grew accustomed to the darkness and the earthworms, and did their best to get out.

Cam watched the three students, smiling at their antics.

"Wow. Some things never change, do they?" He asked his father, Sensei Watanabe, who he sensed was standing behind him. His human form still took some time to get used to, though…

"No, they do not," replied Sensei, mirroring his son's smile. He knew Blake was at a Motorcross race, and as soon as he finished it, he was planning to come back to visit the team (especially Tori). Hunter was busy training his pupils at the Thunder Ninja Academy, but he was sure that the former crimson ranger missed the team too.

Just then, an alarm set in through his communicator. Cam raised an eyebrow, and he and his father ninja-streaked to the underground dojo.

"Looks like there's trouble on the coast. A tsunami has hit Blue Bay Harbor. But why would the computer report this?" Cam asked.

His father narrowed his eyes at the screen. "Maybe because with that tsunami has come some type of monsters that have never been found here, along with the usual Kelzacs," he stated grimly.

"Does this mean…?" asked Cam.

"Yes. We must use these," said Sensei Watanabe, bringing out a familiar looking box, "and bring forth the Power Rangers once again."

Cam smiled, excited to fight again, as he contacted all of the Rangers via wrist communicators.
