Velvet black of darkness and dull silence determined the very being of this place which was his only and true home. It isn't hard to wonder – the prison of Soul Room, which ironically he secured for himself , left deep scars on the glassy surface of his mind. Maybe that's why, when the time has finally come, he couldn't protect his 'friends' – he let them die in the angry flames which slowly and painfully licked the city. He didn't regret. They were only shadows, temporary sparks of dim light in the darkness.
-Yami? – cool and at the same time oddly soothing voice made Pharaoh snap out of his thoughts. He opened a pair of dark, ruby eyes looking at a person which was standing on the threshold of iron door. Tall one with chestnut hair spilled over oval, handsome face with well-defined features was glancing at him with curiosity and typical self-assurance.
-Seto – short one softly whispered his name and smiled that little dull smile. Blue-eyed made his way into the room, closing armored door. Despite omnipresent blackness Yami wasn't afraid – his name itself was a definition of Darkness. Suddenly, without any warning, he felt warm breath on his neck and a pair of strong, confident arms entangled him, pulling to bigger body.
-Mine – whispered silent and at the same time commanding voice right into his ear, only slightly brushing it with his lips – Only mine.
Even if Darkness was supposed to mean pain, pools of blood, twisted way through dust and tears, another tragic future without light – he didn't care. Not, as long as he felt that wonderful heat of body pressed to his, familiar lips brushing his own and heard beloved, velvet voice which made sadness and anxiety go away. The only thing he needed was continuity of a promise made thousands of years ago – that two hearts will beat as one till the end of time.
