Juvia.
A long time ago there lived a little mermaid with curly flowing hair and a shiny silvery tail deep in the depths of the glassy pure ocean. But she lived her life alone in the deep waters. So everyday she played with the bright fish and prawns and raced them amongst the coral while older mermaids preened and combed their hair besides her and watched over her with amusement. She felt intensely happy and at ease amongst the weeds and shells and racing in-between the other mermaids and wanted nothing else in the world.
The one day she glanced up and saw sparkling ripples far, far above her little head. She asked the other mermaids what they were. But they told her when she was older and more mature then they would tell her. So no matter how many times she persistently asked them they would not tell her what those sparling ripples were. Unless you count the time she almost got her answer from a crab but it ended up with her being told off by one of the head mermen and cleaning duties for an entire month.
But on her seventeenth birthday, one mermaid took her hand and said.
"Come Juvia, It is time I show you the sky above and the land beyond" the elder chuffed. With an enchanting and a swish of her silver tail, Juvia rose through the sea, her blue hair sway tickerling against her back.
The elder held Juvia's head above the water Juvia has always known into the dry, empty space above it. Juvia shivered and took in the curious white puffs drifting away in the pale blueness and watched the luminescent orange glow stink into the line separating sea and the sky above her. The elder laughed and tossed in the waves, beckoning Juvia to follow. It felt immensely lighter then the heavy depths of the water, which was pulling her down. Juvia chased the elder as she darted in and out of the waves.
The sea began darkening, there gathered stormy clouds heavily blocking the light blue sky. The air become increasingly chilly. The screams of the elder begging Juvia to return melted away with the roaring sounds above her.
Juvia shook her head. Something drew closer towards her. It approached on the murky horizon splitting through the sky. The deafening sounds that roared and yelled increased. Icy rain drops that felt like millions of little needles started falling down. The waves grew majestically, Juvia duck under the water to avoid the violent tossing and turning surface. The elder screamed more intensely.
"JUVIA, JUVIA ANSWER ME!" Splashing from side to side in desperation.
That's when Juvia saw something falls from the explaining object. Juvia's heart sank deep and unable to progress what was happening she was flying through the freezing ocean.
Her eyes set upon the fallen thing. There lay a being that's hair was as dark as a ravens, Juvia couldn't see his eyes but she imagined that they were enchanting just as his face. Her heart began to thump out of her chest, she placed her soft shaking hand against the persons face ever so slightly stroking it causing him to stir.
"MASTER GRAY!"
Juvia's heart started to beat increasingly faster not because of this love and admiration but because of fear. Her eyes took one last glance down to her new love until she splashed back into the ocean where she knows she's safe.
"MATSER GRAY"
"Gray" Juvia smiled softly, closing her eyes "Gray-sama"
