Weird Powers–A Raven drabble
She had always been different. Raven couldn't remember a time when she truly fit in. But these teenagers, these heroes, were in the same predicament as her. The green-skinned one was used to his powers, being an ex-member of the Doom Patrol; and the ebony-haired boy wearing red, green and yellow was once the famous partner of the Batman. The half-android seemed to be miffed about his looks; and the alien girl with green blasts of energy was curious about her new home, always asking questions about everything she saw. Raven smiled, glad she wasn't truly alone on Earth.
'These people will cast you aside like your almost mother did when she found out your fate. They only want you to join them because of your powers.' Anger chided. 'You know your destiny won't include friends.'
Raven frowned. The other 'Ravens', the ones containing personalities like Timid, Brave and Happiness, had let Anger voice her opinion.
"Raven, you okay?" Beast Boy looked at the empath.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Raven smiled at the green-skinned boy. Who knew, maybe she'd get used to this new life? The purple-haired girl followed the other teens to the island to build their new home together.
Wow, a 200 word drabble. If you don't think so, count the words yourself (half-android counts as one word in Microsoft Word--if you don't believe me then type it in a word document and go use a spell checker!). And it's about Raven. That's a first for me. I tend to write Robin- and Starfire- centered stuff. Not too bad, but it could be better, I guess. This was a something that I took on myself; no one gave me a challenge. I have a bunch of writing prompts, and one of them was about weird powers. I decided to make this a drabble instead of a story, and it happens after the Titans form as a team but before the first episode. I hope you liked this.
