Chapter One: A secret

Years afeter Harry and Ginny's children have had their children. Harry Potter's great-great-great-great grandchild Yve will befriend a muggle. She loves her muggle friend and the friend loves her back. But when Yve talks to her friend, Ivy, about the glorious place where her mother and father learned about magic. Ivy is enthralled, drinking in everything about Hogwarts . . . then when Yve goes to Platform nine-and-three-quarters to board the Hogwarts express, Ivy follows.
Yve tumbled down the hill will Ivy in her wake, her black hair tumbling in the orange autumn leaves.

At ten-and-a-half years old she loved to scream and run at the colorful little leaves as the dropped from the trees like rainbow missiles.

"Yve," Ivy said, rather tiredly. "D'you reckon you'll have a party Saturday for your birthday?" She looked at her best friend closely.

Yve grinned, "not a party! I'll have you over to sleep, mum loves it when you're older . . ." Yve trailed away, pausing, as if remembering. "Say Ivy," she began. Ivy turned her wide green eyes on the girl she'd known since she moved here at the age of five.

"Yes?"

"Can-can you keep a secret?"

Ivy snorted, "I kept the secret of that toad when you kept it in your mum's wash basin."

Yve shot her a look and laughed, "did da ever have a fright! When he came to the sitting room it looked like he had just vomited."

"Go on," Ivy implored.

For the first time in her life Yve Clearwater looked embarassed. "You'll never believe me. . ." she mumbled.

"If you said hogs could fly I'd believe you!" Ivy protested, "please tell me!"

"Okay," Yve said. "Swear not to laugh?" Ivy crossed her heart, her emerald eyes blazing with delight at the prospect of a secret. Yve cleared her throat, her cheeks already pink. "Well, the other day this owl flew into the kitchen-"

"An owl!" Ivy simple loved owls. "Was it Bubo Virginous? Great Horned . . . or Mi-"

She was cut off at a glare from her friend. "I thought that mum would surely shriek and try to snuff it with a broom. Or maybe da would scare it away. But mum opened her hand and the owl placed an envelope in her hand!

"Mum opened it, she looked so happy! Then she read it aloud.

"'Mr. and Mrs. Clearwater,

I am pleased to inform you that your daughter. Yvette Alice Clearwater, is invited to join Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizzardry, due to her, magical capabilities.'"

"It gave her some information and book lists after that," Yve looked over at Ivy.

"Magic?" Came her tentative question at last. "A magical school? You're messing with me!" She crossed her arms, two weeks ago she had turned eleven.

"I'll prove there's magic!" Yve said, she reached down and plucked a flower from the ground. "My mum taught me this, I can barely do it without a wand. Windgardium Leviosa!" The flower left her hand and bobbed in the air for a moment before falling.

"So . . . it's true?" Ivy's eyes widened. "That's amazing! Teach me!"

Yve looked at her feet, "mum told me that I shouldn't tell you because you're a muggle."

"A what?" Asked Ivy.

"Muggle, a person who was born by people who can't do magic. So they can't do magic either, I can't teach you." Her eyes welled, "please don't hate me!"

"I never could," whispered Ivy, pain in her eyes. "But, could you please ask your mum if I can shop for your school books with you?"

"Sure!" Yve lifted her head, "so, you're not mad?"

"No," Ivy smiled.

Okay, please review. The next chapter is more exciting. I HATE THE FACT THAT HARRY AND GINNY HAD KIDS!!! Just thought I'd let that out of my head.
