I don't own any of characters, but this story.
Love was something Ike had always thought would come naturally. He didn't worry about it because he knew his time would come, and he would do his best not to disappoint when it did. He wondered what it would be like being married, having kids, and growing old with someone. Thoughts of when he didn't need to use his sword to make his way in life, but with the hand of the woman he loved.
Samus, as a young girl believed in love. She held onto the hope that she would one day find a happy, simple love like her parents did, but that idea died with her parents when they were murdered. She spent most of her life training to be a bounty hunter, but that didn't mean she didn't attempts casual tries at love. Love was something Samus long ago abandoned. For her, some things were better off living without.
"Ike!" Ike snapped out of his slumber. His friend Marth held out his hand to help him up. "Not this again." Ike shook his head hoping to rid himself of the dizziness. He wasn't sure how it all started but in random moments in time he and Marth are sent to a parallel universe where they have to fight against differing odds and humans/creatures alike. "Seems like we are in for another adventure huh, Ike?" Marth said as he gave a squeeze on Ike's shoulder. "Let's join the others, shall we?" Ike gave him a nod as they made their way towards the group of other fighters.
They joined the group, seeing familiar faces and some new. "Well, well if it isn't the hero king himself." Snake shook hands with Marth, and Marth gave him a small smile. "You haven't changed at all Snake, except your age."
"I don't want to hear that coming from a boy who wears a tiara. Don't think for a minute that I've forgotten about you knocking me out last time This time I will be returning the favor." Marth let out a chuckle, "perhaps, oh Snake, you remember my friend Ike of course?" Snake glance at Ike, "whoa, what the hell happened to you?"
It has been a few years since the fighters have seen each other. Ike was just a kid back when he first joined the brawl. Since then, Ike had trained along his journey in his own world. That boy who once joined the brawl had matured to gain the title of radiant hero of legend.
"I've been busy." Ike flustered a bit, now noticing that others smashers were staring at him.
"Busy huh? Damn, you are huge. You are bigger than me now!" Snake took out his cigar and took a long breath. "Damn roids."
Marth examined Ike, placing his hand on his chin. "You did get impressively muscular since the last time we've seen you."
"Not that much has chang-"
Out of the corner of his eye he caught a glimpse of Samus. How could he not? Her bright orange armor stood out in the crowd. Marth turned his attention towards Samus. "Still upset she knocked you out last time?" Marth said with a chuckle. Ike recalled the first time he had met Samus.
Flashback:
Ike ran through Hyrule castle. He wasn't sure what was going on, but he knew people were after him. He managed to defeat three foes in a single swing. He might not be the fastest hero, but when he was able to hit, he was going to make sure it counted. He had fallen asleep in his room, but when he awoke, he was in a whole new world. He saw people fighting in the far distance. Ike tried to disperse the fighting until they noticed him and began to attack him as well. He fought for what seemed like forever- every time he managed to defeat an opponent, they would reappear shortly after. He realized that they seemed to have life stocks of sorts. After the third time someone was defeated, they didn't return. He himself had taken two defeats and was on his last stock.
Ike jumped back just as a missile came crashing down where he was standing. He looked up to see his attacker. Out of the shadows stood an orange robot called Samus. He had seen this orange robot fight before, but it carried so many weapons, pure intimidation made it almost non-approachable. Ike dashed toward his foe swinging as hard as he could. Even if it was a robot he wanted to defeat quickly, he didn't want to hurt it more than he had to. Unfortunately for Ike, the robot wasn't going to go down that easy. Dodging the big swing then countering with a kick to Ike's back, it sent him flying away. Ike landed a few feet away, cursing at himself. Picking himself up off the ground, he readied Ragnell for his next attack. This time it was Samus who came rushing towards Ike. Ike gripped Ragnell tight as he prepared for a counter attack. Just before Samus could reach Ike, he slammed Ragnell into the ground, causing an explosion big enough to send Samus crashing into a pillar. Ike walked up to the defeated Samus. Its armor was badly damaged, and it had a hard time moving. Ike drew his sword back cautiously to give it the final blow.
That's when it all went downhill.
Samus's helmet fell off and for the first time, Ike was stunned by the presence of a woman. Her bright blonde hair shined with the sun, blue eyes clearer than the any sea, and a face that was beyond what words can describe.
"You're beauti-"
That was the last thing he recalled before she blasted him into unconsciousness.
End of flashback.
Ike smiled at the memory. Though it hurt like hell to get blown away by a cannon, somehow he didn't mind it. "No, and I had that fight won. She just surprised me, that's all." Snake chuckled, "surprised my ass- she blew you to pieces." Marth joined Snake in laughter, but Ike didn't care. This time around he wouldn't be defeated like that again- even if his opponent was as pretty as Samus.
