Have any of you ever wonder why Kung Food only really fought Cat Noir? Because I have, and it lead me to a theory.
When I was rewatching Kung Food, I noticed that he mostly fought Cat Noir not Cat Noir AND Ladybug. When he did fight Ladybug for like 10 seconds, he practically set her on a chair GENTLY. He didn't even try to hurt her, but avoided fighting her!
So here is where my theory comes in. Subconsciously Kung Food (which means Wang Cheng) knew that Ladybug is Marinette, so Wang Cheng fought the akuma so that he wouldn't hurt his niece even if he is akumitized. But when Kung Food was defeated, Cheng didn't give any hint knowing who Ladybug really was except for renaming his Celestial Soup to Marinette Soup.
