"Erehw si ym evarg?"

The towering trees cast an enveloping shade over the surrounding area. A shade and a flicker of movement flashed in the growth surrounding the miner as he ran with frenzied speed. Splotches of blood were smeared around the surroundings, almost mistaken for fallen redstone dust in the gloom. And as he ran, he heard an infamous screech echo throughout the air, followed by the chill of death.

One by one, the leaves on the trees started to decay at an accelerated rate, leaving only the wooden trunks in its wake. Glowing white eyes stalked the miner, day and night as he ran. Shrubbery slowly started to decay – rotten bushes took their place. Dirt started to take on a sulfuric smell as tints of red and black mixed in with the brown, everlasting flames erupting in the miner's wake.

Seas of clear water started to burn with a red. Blood? Or something else? The miner couldn't know, never stopping to see. As the rain and thunder struck, black drops of liquid splashed against the miner's skin, burning to the touch. Black drops turned red as the drops fell off the miner's skin, mixing into the rotten soil.

The screech filled the air as the burning red water encircled the fearful miner – trapping him completely for the white-eyed man. In the centre of the land, the miner saw but two things – a deep, deep pit akin to a small ravine sticking out of the land like a sore thumb. Against it sat a small wooden sign nearly rotted from age.

Hearing a screech from behind, the miner fell forward – grasping at straws not available as he fell forward into the empty void. As he fell, the miner stared up, seeing the white eyed man glancing away from the void and to the sign. In an empty voice, the miner heard him echo throughout the void moments before his world turned dark.
