As the Doctor lay on the marble steps, Melody Pond slowly waked up to him, feeling regret for her actions. The Doctor grabbed her weakly, and pulled her close to him to whisper something in her ear.
"The Time Lords gave more regeneration energy. More than all of the others."
River gently pulled away, with hope in her eyes. Suddenly, her expression darkened.
"But there's a catch, right?"
"You know me too well, River."
"River, River, River. Who is she?"
"J-just pay attention to me right now. With this energy, I only have a 25 percent chance of regenerating successfully. If I don't, I may die, burning in the fires of my own regeneration energy. From one Time Lord to another, should I-"
The Doctor suddenly coughed up blood, as golden strands of regeneration energy covered his face and arms.
"Good luck, sweetie."
River dove in for a kiss as the Doctor regenerated right underneath River. As the kiss progressed, her body went limp and she fell on the Doctor's chest. All of a sudden, the Doctor's face was gone in a flash of light, as he seemed to grow shorter, and his hair grew out. Chandelier's fell and broke from the impact. Glass shattered, and concrete crumbled, as fire began to envelop the building. Amy screamed, as Rory helped her dive for cover.
"Crikey, that was a whopper! Oh, what's this?"
A small, muffled voice said from underneath River.
"Is that you River? Is that you? Oh my goodness, am i underneath her..."
The Doctor's hand came out and made a thumbs up sign.
"I'm okay. Amy!"
"Are you sure? There was a fire and stuff-"
Quickly, the Doctor's head popped out from underneath River's unconscious body.
"A fire? How bi-"
The Doctor slowly surveyed the room and saw the damage.
"Oh seesh! Wow."
"Um, Doctor?"
"Yes, Rory?"
"You... changed."
"Yes, Of course I have, it's regeneration."
River's imp body moved, as the Doctor pushed her off.
"Okay. Fingers... a very good thing to have..."
"No, Doctor.. you don't get it. You really changed"
The Doctor ignored Amy as rubble crashed around them.
"We should really get out of here..."
"Not yet, almost done checking."
"Doctor, look down."
"What is it Pond, why are you gaping at my ches-"
The Doctor's eyes widened as he, or should I say she, looked at her breasts.
"Holy cow, I'm a girl! Yowzah!"
"..."
"..."
"Right, never saying that again! Regeneration! It's a whole new body to work with! Am I ginger,
Pond?"
"Amy shook her head, speechless."
"Still not ginge-"
Suddenly, the sound of sirens split the silence, as men shouted in German.
"Come along Pond times three!"
Rory hurriedly picked up River and carried her into the TARDIS, where Amy and the Doctor were waiting.
The Doctor flipped a lever and they were off.
"Oops!"
The Doctor tripped over her own shoes and jacket after walking to the other side of the TARDIS.
"That's right, I'm shorter. Better find better clothes!"
The Doctor quickly rushed off into the TARDIS.
"Sooo, did the Doctor turn into a girl?"
"Yes. Yes he did."
