I stared at Ethan.
Just stared. I couldn't believe what he had just told me. He was a mortal.
He had renounced his powers.
But wait… Had he said 'I renounced my powers' or 'They renounced my powers'? The Sinister Sister's powers are gone now because of his dad, so maybe… He didn't want to loose them.
And Grandma did used to be the Queen of Halloweentown, so maybe I can…
"ETHAN! WAIT UP! ETHAN!" I shouted as he walked away from me.
"Ethan… Who took away your powers?" I asked him.
"The Counsel did." Ethan said.
"Do you want them back?" I asked him.
"I do… But you can't do that." Ethan said.
"Maybe I can. My Grandma used to be Queen of Halloweentown. And technically, I am for another minuet or two. So quick, do you want them back?" I asked him.
"Yeah, I do." Ethan said to me.
"It's worth a shot." I said to him, raising my hand above his face.
With a snap of my fingers, color julted out of my hands and in another heartbeat, I felt a tingling on my lips.
"What just happened." I asked Ethan.
"I think it worked." Ethan said to me, as he leaned into me and kissed me softly.
As we kissed, fireworks shot up into the air right above us.
"I really think it worked." Ethan said again.

A/N: OK, so this idea just came into my head and I think that it is kindof shotty, but maybe you think it's good.
I'm not sure if Ethan said "I" or "They", so for this story, it is "They" even though I myself think he said "I".
