Tyki clicked his pen, and looked over at the clock. 'Twenty minutes? I can't believe he's lasted this long.'
He knew the first grader was behind him, but chose to ignore him for the sake of his homework. The truth was this wasn't the first time.
The boy behind him had, for the 45th time (not that Tyki counted), made it pass the security guards, cameras, guard dogs, and electric fences without being detected. Oh, and did he mention they are security guards who are former assassins, heat- and motion-detecting cameras with attached machine guns, guard dogs trained to kill on sight, and electric fences with a voltage that it could kill all the dinosaurs at once?
And how, you might ask, could a first grader overcome this feat? No one could even guess.
He had heard his door creak open a while ago, followed by the patter of feet and the sound of the springs on his bed squeaking, but the fourteen-year-old wanted to finish his biology homework and ignored the kid.
However... the boy was very hyperactive, so him being quiet for this length of time was surprising. Worry began to form in Tyki's thoughts.
Exhaling, he gave up on his work and turned around. There was a red bundle on his bed, a small body wrapped in a red blanket with tufts of scarlet hair peeking out at one end. Tyki smirked and tip-toed over, and then he quickly grabbed the redhead, raising him off the bed.
The boy named Lavi shrieked in shock and kicked his legs. "Hey!"
"Lovely, what are you doing?" Tyki's nickname made the now visible face turn a light pink. Lavi pouted.
"Lenalee and Kanda said that if I camouflaged my hair with something red, you wouldn't be able to find me."
"You believed them?"
"Maybe..."
