Note: Vampire!AU, Muggle!AU

As if out of the shadows, a tall figure emerged. His skin was paler than the moon and his facial features were flawless. His black hair flowed down to his neck. His eyes were as dark as the night sky. He walked over to me, his feet barely touching the ground. I had to be seeing things. He wore a fitting button up shirt with dark slacks, standing out against the fashion I normally saw on the teenagers around here.

"Walking home I presume?" His voice was smoother than butter and made my heart stop momentarily.

Who was this beautiful person?

"Um, yeah." I said slowly and walked towards him carefully. "What's your name?".

He paused for a moment, giving me an amused look. "Theodore."

A silence passed between us. It wasn't an awkward silence, but the tension was intense. I had to say something to keep him from leaving.

"A p-pleasure to meet you, Theodore."

He stepped closer to me, and I could feel my heart skip a beat. "You can call me Theo," he said. "I think that would sound better coming from your lips."

The heat flushed to my cheeks. "Okay...Theo." It sounded weird saying it out loud, but it felt as good as he looked.

My heart was pounding more loudly in my ears than before with each step that he took. I don't know why I'm feeling this rush around him so quickly, but the feelings are there.

I'm not sure if I want them to stop, honestly.

His hand reached out for me, and when it connected with my cheek, the breath began leaving my body.

"You're so beautiful, Daphne," Theo said, and I felt like melting in his hand.

But something clicked and hit me like a ton of bricks.

"I...I never told you my name," I said.

"You didn't have to. I've been after you for quite some time."

Suddenly Theo didn't seem so beautiful anymore. Instead, the beauty that transfixed her was blurring into something more scarier than she thought.

My instinct to run was too late because his hand gripped my face tightly. I gasped in fear and struggled against his unusual strength, but nothing did anything.

I'm regretting my impulsiveness to his beauty, but before I could think of any of my other regrets, his teeth sunk into my neck and my life turned black.
