Jasper stood at the space of counter near the sink, cutting a strawberry into small pieces for Luka to eat for his snack. He had sent Seth out to run or whatever he wanted for a while he took care of their ten month old. As much as they both loved Luka, they both needed a few minutes to keep their sanity now and then. Currently, while he was cutting up the strawberry, Luka was laying on the floor under the toys that hung from the arches of his play gym. Jasper was smiling, listening to Luka's baby babbling. Luka loved his play gym, the mirror especially.
"Ahhh!" Jasper heard and then everything went silent. He paused, knife poised over the last piece of strawberry, waiting for more sounds. None came. Casting out his senses he felt that Luka was content, happy still so not in any distress… but still, Luka was so vocal, so it concerned him.
Putting the knife down, Jasper turned and walked into the living room. The sight he was met with made him chuckle. Luka had gotten his hands on one of his feet, pulling the sock that had been there off. Jasper couldn't see where the sock had disappeared to but Luka's bare foot was now in his mouth, his baby making happy sucking noises as he drooled all over his toes.
Jasper went over and kneeled down, looking into Luka's golden eyes. "What'cha got there little man? A foot?"
Luka let his foot go, squealing happily, his hands grasping the air in front of Jasper. Jasper laughed and picked Luka up, tossing him into the air gently. "C'mon little man, I've got something for you that tastes better than your foot."
