Seeing the crazed unstable look in my friends eyes as I shouted her name "Bonnie, Bonnie what are you doing?" "Stop Bonnie, stop you're hurting him".
Knowing Damon Salvatore was on the ground burning writhing in pain and crying out, drove a knife through my heart and made me think how much i need him. The way he makes me laugh, the way he says he doesn't care but he does and he cares about me, the pain he has been through just to help me...
And the way I love him just like he loves me.
In these split seconds I realised just how much Damon Salvatore meant to me.
I couldn't let him die.
"Bonnie Stop" I jumped over the flames and shook bonnie begging her to stop and sighing when she did.
I loved Damon but he still owed me.
