Of Beds, Love and Jealous Brothers
Hunter Bradley stirred in his sleep. It had been nearly a year since he had slept this comfortably, and so peacefully. It had also only been three weeks since he and his brother Blake, had – for the final time – regained their full memories and swore revenge on Lothor. It had also been three weeks since he and Mei had started going out properly. Shane hadn't been happy, neither had Cam. The pair had secretly teamed up to try and get Hunter on the bad side of the Sensei, so he might be punished and forced to break up with Mei. Not that either of Hunter or Mei wanted that to happen. The pair had to be ultra sneaky sometimes.
"Hunter! Come on man! Time. To. Get. Up!" Cam's voice called through the door, sounding rough and annoyed. Hunter grunted in reply. He didn't want to get up; his bed was soft and warm, and so was Mei's body next to him so wh-
Hold on…what was Mei Watanabe doing in his bed?
Hunter's eyes snapped open to the sight of a sleeping Mei next to him. She looked, like he probably had, at complete peace. Hunter didn't want to wake her, yet if Cam came back…
"Mei...Mei! Wake up!"He whispered, shaking her gently.
"Wazza up, Hunter." Mei groaned sleepily, "I'm tired."
"You and me both love, but you're in my bed and I don't think either Cam or your father would be impressed if they saw you here…"
"Hunter, I'm not telling you again…" Cam fumed, storming through the doorway, when he saw his sister, "Mei?"
"Good morning, brother dearest." Mei grumbled, before her head dropped back on the pillow.
"Cam, honestly, it's not as it se…" But before Hunter could finish his sentence, Cam had rushed out of the room, no doubt to tell his father. Mei gave out her light, lilting laugh, which told Hunter he probably didn't look very happy.
"I'm glad you find it funny. Your dad's going to skin me alive!"
"No he won't, Dad's fair, he'll listen to both sides of the story." Mei shrugged, settling back down on the bed…then she looked back up at Hunter, "Did we…"
"No, I don't think so…" Hunter trailed off, glancing down at her, "You don't feel strange, do you?"
Mei shook her head, "You worry too much, I'm gonna go get ready." She kissed his cheek, before easing herself out of Hunter's bed and slipped out of the room. Hunter sighed after she left. God knows why (or how) but her presence had always been calming to him…
Mei Watanabe entered the small canteen to see six people, none of which looked happy. Tori looked disgusted at both Cam and Shane, who in turn looked a mixture of ashamed and angry, while Blake and Dustin were bugging Hunter about something.
Definitely about what had supposedly happened last night… Mei pondered, sitting herself down in-between Hunter and Tori, the latter whom she smiled to, and Mei then kissed Hunter firmly on the lips.
"Morning all." She chirped cheerfully, before devouring the food in front of her. Cam and Shane grumbled to each other.
Meanwhile, in the shadows, Sensei Watanabe; Cam and Mei's father, watched the couple. He saw nothing different in their relationship, nothing on the physical side anyway….
