The boy snapped and awakened suddenly. His dream was so clear, too clear for a dream. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the calendar. Tomorrow would be the last day of Summer vacation. The sun has ascended to his throne, shining brightly from the peak of horizon. No time for sleep anymore.

He walked toward their usual hanging spot, while trying to rearrange his memory of the past five days. Each day went weirder than before, and he had a soft pulse in his heart telling him that he was denying something important.

"Hey,"he greeted. He was glad everyone was there. But no one looked at him. Still mad, aren't they? He walked past Hayner, and received no response. Olette sat beside him without acting like someone was there.

His heart aching, and is memory became clearer. It was not a dream. He wasn't supposed to be there. He went out, sorting his mind. It was there he remembered everything he should know, and everything he should do. And it was what he tried to deny the whole time.

The eerie mansion stood before him. Hoping that girl, Namine was inside, he stepped in. Nothing mattered now, nothing. His summer has gone horribly wrong. The mansion, the whitish room and the girl within it, and his gradually vanishing existence. Why, he smiled bitterly, should I remember those? It wasn't even a reality. It was reality, his mind talked back. Even if it meant nothing to anyone except you.

He explored the mansion, discovering more of his past in each room. He proceed lower and lower to the basement. He knew he should be. He found it. The flower-like pod, with a boy captivated within.

He held his step upon reaching the boy. He slept peacefully, smiling. He also smiled. His friends were everything he has in this world, and if they have forgotten about him, there was no point to held it any longer. And with this boy, he could protect more people than with his current condition. Heck, he didn't even have that very existence. He frowned at his feelings, the feelings of nobody.

He glanced again to the boy, the king of his world. Sometimes he wished their role could be reversed, so he could be a real Roxas, living in this world with his friends, having a real life. So he wasn't just a part of Sora named Roxas. His own feelings, his own memories.

How lucky are you, Sora.

Mentally prepared himself and gaining his courage, he slowly moved his leg forward until his hand could reach the other boy. He shut his eyes before their hands met each other.

Today,

Is my last day of Summer indeed…

A/n: I love Roxas…He is my favorite KH character. Sora's rank is about the third or fourth? ==a
