Brother Knows Best
Kurt Hummel stood up above, hidden away in the balcony, watching his boyfriend Blaine Anderson and his older, charming brother Cooper, belt out "Somebody That I Used To Know". He raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow as Blaine sang to his brother with so much anger. They need to make amends. Something happened, and I'm not exactly sure WHAT happened. Kurt smiled as they continued singing, hoisting his backpack back up onto his shoulder. He took his phone out, and discreetly recorded the performance.
"...now you're just somebody that I used to knoooow..." They ended together. Cooper came up beside Blaine, wrapping an arm around his younger brother's shoulder, and said quietly, "I'm so sorry squirt...I promise to come around more, ok?"
Blaine smiled a little, and shrugged, not quite believing him just yet. "O-Ok..."
Cooper paused. "Bro?"
Blaine looked up at his brother with curious hazel eyes. "Yeah?"
Kurt finished recording, and silently pocketed his phone, watching the conversation between them.
"You and Kurt...You're more than just best friends aren't you?" Cooper asked seriously. He folded his arms across his chest, waiting patiently for Blaine's answer.
Kurt took a sharp breath in, his palms sweating already. Cooper...what...what are you DOING?! What's your angle? Kurt rested his hands on the railing, now listening intently.
"W-What makes you think that?" Blaine mumbled.
Cooper deadpanned. "Really?"
Blaine snorted.
"I see the way you look at him...you love the boy, don't you?"
Kurt's eyes widened, and a shaking hand found its way to his mouth to keep his gasp quiet. Oh my god...he...he DOES love me...
Blaine turned beet red, and answered shyly, "...Okay, yes. I'm in love with Kurt."
"No no no no, squirt...you did it all wrong...you have to point your finger dramatically...otherwise, you don't seem serious..." Cooper stated, exasperated.
Blaine rolled his eyes, laughing. "Ok, ok..."
Cooper punched him lightly in the arm, and asked him, "When are you going to tell Kurt?"
I already know. Kurt thought, feeling a little bit lightheaded. His heart raced a mile a minute as Blaine proceeded.
"I'm n-nervous...I don't know how to tell him..." He replied.
Just tell me how you feel, what you feel...Kurt silently pleaded.
"Well, when the time is right, you'll know exactly what to say." Cooper grinned, showing his pearly whites.
"Ok...thanks, Coop." Blaine smiled.
"No problem, squirt..." A pause. " Just make sure you point your fin-" Cooper started.
Blaine sighed deeply, rolled his eyes, and walked off. "You are so infuriating sometimes, you know that?"
"But you love me!" Cooper said excitedly, following suit.
