4-year-old Remus stared at the creature of what he was sure of was Death. Maybe Death had come to trick-or-treat with him? That, however, was very unlikely. Remus watched the creature breathe down his neck, icy cold breathe sticking to his neck. He tried to stare into his eyes, but the monstrous creature had eyes that seemed cold and black. Remus wasn't sure of where the creature's eyes actually were. It might have been one eye, but Remus couldn't tell since his chest was heaving so hard.

"This is Death. Death has come," Remus whispered softly.

The thing jumped toward Remus's beating chest to find Remus a few inches away. Remus finally got a good look at the creature. He froze in shock and panic. The creature was a werewolf. The werewolf beamed down on Remus, anger in his eyes that Remus finally saw. The werewolf grabbed Remus as Remus kicked and cried. The werewolf growled at the family trying to make the werewolf let Remus go. Remus struggled with fear and panic. Screams could be heard from miles away, yet no one came. Remus's eyes began to glaze over as Fenrir Greyback bit him. Remus wasn't very glad his father had offended him.

"Thanks dad," Remus muttered as his body began transformed.

Remus's body changed one body part at time, a slow, grueling process. Fenrir grabbed Remus's shoulders, shaking him vigorously.

"Where is he? Where is your father?" Fenrir asked in a murderous voice.

"I don't know. He fled. Like a coward," Remus said, almost crying.

"I knew he was coward but to leave his blood. He knows I could get you instead of him," Fenrir laughed.

Remus almost cried at Fenrir's words. Fenrir started to howl with laughter. His laughs became louder and louder until he could be heard from miles away. Fenrir slipped into the shadows.

"He wouldn't. He can't. He loves me. I love him. My father was not a coward," Remus yelled into the cool night air.

Remus was too late. Fenrir was gone.
