"You know, she scored the highest amount of goals during her time in high school, because she was on, well not just on, she was the captain, of the soccer team at the time, and if that's not the greatest thing, I don't know what is! And have I told you that she was a straight a student before? I mean it's crazy, she has the looks, the talent and the brains! My girlfriend's amazing!" Emily tells the waitress and JJ begins blushing again. "Em, really? That was years ago, sweetheart. I know you're running out of compliments but that's a bit ridiculous even for you." The waitress chuckles and sets their drinks down. Emily gives JJ the side-eye and begins talking to the waitress once again. "I could never run out of things to say about her. I could write a thousand books using every word in every language and still left things unsaid. God, isn't she just gorgeous, Alex? Just marvellous!" Emily gestures wildly to JJ, who is practically red with embarrassment, trying to hide her face from the world and chuckling despite the embarrassment that is flowing freely through every fibre of her being. She looks out from her hands and mouths 'please stop' to her girlfriend, who simply laughs and goes on. "Jayje, sweetie, you shouldn't be embarrassed," she whispers as she waves Alex, who is going to serve other customers, goodbye. "Everything, absolutely everything I say about you is true. Sometimes I have to sit back and pinch myself to convince myself that this is all real. That you're real. I still, even after 4 years with you, knowing you as a friend and eventually a lover, marvel at your unending kindness, loyalty, devotion and of course beauty. You have fully captured me Jennifer Jareau, and I will work every day, compliment you every day until you no longer blush at my words, and I believe that you accept them." Emily tilts her head at JJ, who is practically in tears from Emily's heartfelt words. She tries to speak, to thank Emily for everything, but the tears stream down her face slowly and she says the only thing she feels is fitting to this situation they have created: "Hey, at least I'm not blushing now." Emily blinks and laughs, JJ joining her, and takes a sip of her coffee. She just loves making JJ blush.
