AN: Written for a friend. Even though I prefer Sumia with someone else, I must admit Gaius/Sumia is cute... also ginger!Cynthia.
"Heh heh, open wide!" the ginger man exclaimed, a grin on his face as he lifted a spoonful of honey in the air.
His three-year old daughter, however, did not seem to comply, crossing her arms and forcing a frown as her father wielded the spoon, swooshing the air with it.
"Hey, Little Stumbles, what's wrong?" he asked, briefly imitating her frown before explaining himself to her. "It's just honey, dear, it tastes amazing!"
"Don't want!" Cynthia replied, her brow heavily furrowed, rubbing her tiny feet together and rocking forward in her chair.
"But… look at its… syrupy, slick, delicious golden hue!" he announced, more than tempted to nab the honey himself, even if he wanted his child to appreciate the same tastes as he did.
"I'll even give you a nice candy ring if you just taste it, Cynthia," he then said, with a wide smile, brushing her cheek with his thumb, but the tyke remained adamant in her decision.
"Oh Gaius… just leave her be!" Sumia stated, taking the spoon out of his hand as she walked into the room, gaining a huge smile from her daughter as she did so.
"But…" he mumbled, seeming almost heartbroken at the thought.
"Gaius, you know she doesn't like to be forced to do things…" the pegasus knight commented, before picking her daughter up.
"She's also too big to be picked up, Stumbles!" he stated with a chuckle.
"At least she also wants me to pick her up, contrarily to eating honey," the mother hummed, giving little Cynthia eskimo kisses before putting her down.
"Wow, we are bitter today, aren't we?" Gaius japed, raising an eyebrow at his wife, who walked closer to him, then joining the man in watching their little daughter play with her toys.
"You could give me some of that honey to make up for it," Sumia smiled, giving him the spoon, which he then returned to her, but to her lips instead of her hand. "Mmmmn, always reminds me of the good old times," she stated.
"The present time ain't so bad either, though," the thief added, before embracing his wife and continuing to watch their little daughter.
