A/N: I really need to work on setting the scene and adding more details. =/ They're kinda my weak points when writing. Anyways, happy birthday, Katsuya! :D Sorry if this seems rushed by the way, I wanted to post it today, but I didn't get much time to work on it. Nevertheless, thanks for reading! :)
"Happy birthday, Saeki-kun," Minoru greeted Katsuya as he stood in the doorway of their bedroom, his hands tucked away behind his back.
Katsuya ceased his work for a brief moment to look up at the older man. "Ah, Minoru-san, you remembered?"
Minoru chuckled softly in response. "How could I forget?"
"Good point." Katsuya smiled at him gently and got up to approach the older man. "Thank you, Minoru-san."
"Saeki-kun..." Minoru paused another moment, blushing, before he finally spoke up again. "I-I hope you don't mind, but I got you something for your birthday," he stuttered, revealing to him a box that he had been hiding behind his back.
"What?" Katsuya inquired, seeming a little surprised to Minoru's concern. "Minoru-san, you don't have to feel inclined to get me any-"
"It isn't much," Minoru interjected frantically, "I just...wanted to get you something."
Katsuya hesitated another moment, then sighed in defeat. "Thank you, Minoru-san. You really didn't have to, but thank you. Though I can't help, but want to return the favor."
Minoru smiled, feeling slightly relieved. "Being with you is all I could ask for."
"That's no excuse," Katsuya said with a smirk, grabbing Minoru's hands with his own, "if you feel the need to get me something, then I must get you something in return."
Minoru stared at him, unsure of how to react. Though he didn't want Katsuya to feel the need to pay him back, he had made a fair point. Therefore, Minoru didn't have much of an excuse. "Ok, Saeki-kun…" he relented, "if you insist."
