A/N: I know this is late, but this was meant to be for Christmas. I hope you enjoy ;)

Aki!" Katsuya called out. The younger boy was nowhere to be found around the apartment, which Katsuya found unusual as Aki didn't usually wake up before him.

"Good morning, Katsuya-san!" Aki suddenly exclaimed, catching his lover off guard by hugging him from behind, "Merry Christmas! Sorry for the delay. I was out."

"Aki, you're up early this morning," Katsuya acknowledged.

Aki smiled at the statement and gave him a slight nod in response. "I woke up early to finish something."

Curious, Katsuya gave him an inquisitive look, but when Aki didn't take the hint, he decided it'd be best not to question him. "Turn around," he demanded out of the blue. Aki gave him a confused look at first, but complied nevertheless. As he did so, Katsuya withdrew a pair of cat ears from his pocket and placed them gently upon Aki's head. He then took a step back, examining them from afar as Aki turned to look at the surprise that awaited him in a nearby mirror. "Not bad…" Katsuya concluded, "it's fitting."

"They're so cute!" Aki exclaimed, patting the ears on his head.

"They're yours." Aki immediately turned to his lover, as if wanting to double check that Katsuya meant what he said. Katsuya frowned at the unnecessary confirmation. "What's that look for?" He questioned, "who else would have given it to? Don't look so surprised." Lightening up a bit, he smiled and ruffled Aki's hair. "I'm glad you like them."

Aki stared at him, too overwhelmed to think. Finally, he snapped out of his dazed state and jumped into Katsuya's arms, hugging him tightly which caused the older man to flinch back in shock. "Thank you, Katsuya-san!" After a moment had passed, Aki backed away and suddenly perked up, a pleasant thought recurring.

"Oh, my turn!" He exclaimed, turning away from Katsuya to head towards the adjacent room.

"You got me something?" Katsuya inquired, seeming to be rather surprised.

"Of course I did," Aki replied, turning back around to smile at him, "I've been looking forward to giving it to you!"

Katsuya could only stand there stunned as Aki left. It wasn't unusual that Aki would want to give him a gift in return, but it still felt off to him, and although he was flattered, he honestly didn't expect too much from Aki nonetheless. Because of his nonchalance, he was appalled to find that Aki's gift when he returned was worth more than he ever could've imagined. "A watch?" He inquired, wanting to confirm it from Aki himself, to know for sure that what he was seeing was true.

"Yup!" Aki exclaimed with a grin, "I saved up my money for it!"

"I thought you were saving your money for something you wanted," Katsuya prompted.

"I did," Aki continued, beaming with pride, "I wanted to save my money to get you something. Nothing more could make me happier!" Katsuya still seemed uncertain, which made Aki frown sadly. "It's ok if you don't like it…" he reasoned, "I just thought...because you're always wearing your old one, you'd like a new one."

"It's not that I don't like it, Aki. I just never thought you'd put so much effort into this," Katsuya spoke up.

Aki gave him a pouty look, as if offended by the remark. "Of course I'd put effort into it!" It only took a moment more before his outraged expression then turned to that of a happy grin. "Especially since it's for you!" With that said, he cuddled up to Katsuya, purring softly. "I want our Christmas together to be special!"

Katsuya smirked lightly at the gesture and began to pet Aki on the head. "I didn't quite expect you to be so full of surprises," he said and, leaning in close, added, " but thank you, Aki."
