A/N: I could never understand how Sirius Black and James Potter could be that cruel. And they never were punished for it! So I decided to write this little one-shot – a version how they a properly punished. If you like those to you probably shouldn't read my story.

Retribution by the Fates

James Potter and Sirius Black were the most popular boys at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They were members of the noble and good House of Gryffindor – so they could do nothing wrong.
But the truth was, they were cruel. Their favourite victim was the Slytherin boy Severus Snape. They hurt him because he existed. They hated him for being there and being friends with the beautiful Gryffindor girl Lily Evans – and Potter fancied her.
Sirius Black had an idea to finally end their problems with Severus Snape. One night in their early fifth year – the full moon had just been rising over the black lake. They lead him out grounds of Hogwarts. Sirus Black brought Severus Snape to the Shrieking Shack – James Potter followed them. But he was in on the plan - he wanted to rescue the other boy in the last minute – a life dept to get him away one Lily Evans.
Severus Snape nearly died that night – nearly killed by the Marauder Remus Lupin a werewolf. But Potter really rescued him just before he could be bitten. He was shocked for life.
Sirius Black and James Potter were never punished by the Headmaster for the deed – they were good Gryffindors after all. And Severus Snape indeed owed James Potter a life dept.

But fate had other ideas for those cruel boys. Because they, like most people, could only hope that they never get what they truly deserve.
On the same day the next year Sirius Black and James Potter got what they deserved. The fates had decided to punish them for all their mischief and pranks.
They were out in the grounds of Hogwarts again with their werewolf friend Remus Lupin – another full moon. They were in their animagus forms and ran into the Black forest.
Remus Lupin wasn't the only werewolf there that night.
Fenir Greyback surprised the friends with his pack that night. A dozen werewolves hunted stag and dog.
James Potter and Sirius Black died the way they had wanted Severus Snape that night.
