You wish
Ranger POV
I just bought a dozen roses. I have a ring in my pocket and a limo waiting outside. This morning I'd finally had the guts to ask Steph out on a date. Currently I had cold hands, cold feet and my hands were shaking.
I took the elevator down because I am sure I'd end up tripping if I tried the stairs. The elevator seemed to be crawling tonight.
Finally, it stopped. On the wrong floor. Tank entered.
"You nervous?"
"No" Hell yes
That was the end of our conversation. We are a talkative bunch I know.
OoOoOo
The ride to her apartment took milliseconds. Someone was messing with the time around this place. Okay Manoso you can do this. Be a man.
I knocked on the door to her apartment. Miracles happen. After what seemed like centuries, but in reality was only a minute, she opened the door.
She was wearing a knee-length black choker neck dress. It was classy and sexy, a deadly combo for me.
"Babe" That's all I could get out. A lesser man would just sink to the floor.
"Do I look okay?"
"Babe" How could she even ask that question. The dress was doing nice things to her figure and even better things to my body. Getting through dinner will be a major accomplishment.
"Are those for me?" she asked
Looking down at where she was looking, I realised I was still holding on to the roses. Right. Roses for her. My brain was too scrambled to do anything but hold them up to her.
She took the roses and found a vase to put thin in. The stepped forward up to me and kissed me lightly on the lips, bringing me back out of the erotic dreams I was having.
"Babe. If we aren't out of here in the next ten seconds, we won't make it to the reservations" With that I pulled her out of the apartment. We took the elevator because of her heels.
I opened the door of the limo, gesturing her to get in. We were going to a nice restaurant, just outside of Trenton.
We didn't talk at all through the drive. My nerves were on overload. She seemed to be fine with the silence, seemingly lost in her own world. I looked down and realised I was clutching her hand like a lifeline.
OoOoOo
Through dinner we kept a light conversation going. Mainly she asked me questions about my life and I answered them as fully as I could. Finally dinner was over. And dessert. I knelt down my knee and well lay my heart out on the line.
"Babe, Steph. I know you think this is sudden, but it's not. We've been dancing around each other for three years. I love you and I know you love me. I want us to take this chance and make us work. Please marry me. I'll spend the rest of our lives showing you what you mean to me. Please Babe" By the end of it my heart was racing at the speed of light. If she said no I don't know how I'm going to go on.
She seemed to be in shock, but after what felt like eternity pulled herself together and gave me a wobbly smile. Tears pouring down her beautiful face. I was almost sure she was going to reject me. Why would she want to marry a man like me? I don't talk enough, I'm over protective, I don't show emotions…
Thankfully she stopped my mental ramblings by throwing herself at me and kissing me senseless before whispering "Yes".
The whole restaurant erupted with applause and I realised they had been quite the entire duration of my proposal.
I pulled the ring out of its case and slipped it on Steph's finger. She said yes. My relief was so strong, my eyes were misty. She said yes.
This is my second fanfic. Please review. Good or Bad. Thank You.
