Journal Entry #125
Where am I? How did I get here? Why am I here? These are only a few of the countless questions that still remain. After days of darkness and nothingness, it's as though some mysterious unseen force reached in and randomly dropped me into an unfamiliar world…
Earlier today:
I swiftly spun from side to side in order to take in my new surroundings. To the north, a group of hunters formed an ominous pack, their weapons held tight to their brawny bodies. The one with the long black hair and rotten teeth glanced over his shoulder, his sleek limbs twitching in anticipation. To the east, the sun was breaking; I closed my eyes as its rays passed through the grove of trees and reflected back from the craggy peaks of the massive mountain. To the west, a rouge paced back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. To the south, there were only the distant murky silhouettes of unknowns.
I drew in a deep breath and scanned through my hazy memories of the last two weeks. The broken images danced across my mind's eye… the days of emptiness … the trolls and the Ozan… the green dragon… the Kharidian Desert… the water from Chancellor Hassan… the cook and Duke Horacio's cake...
Lumbridge… Lumbridge…
The shadows of confusion receded bit by bit as the misty outlines of the small town sharpened. I mentally roamed the floors of the mighty Lumbridge castle and scanned the fertile fields to the west and north. Suddenly, the ground began to quake as the group of hunters thundered toward me. I snapped out of my trance and jumped off the path just in time – they were on a mission and had no interest in yielding to anyone. The one with the rotten teeth sounded a powerful battle cry and paused to pump his blood-stained fists in the air. The sour stench of sweat and earthiness filled my nostrils and cleared away the vestiges of the fog…
I was due to meet Farmer Fred in Lumbridge!
But why?
