There's a smell of sweat that lingers in the room. That smell was in before they came, probably before they started. That smell makes their meetings feel more like a dirty secret than anything.
The waters running, which means Camille's the shower. Half of Jo wants to meet her, and the thought of itself is something more than pleasant. The other half tells herself not to, to let today start without a fresh taste of adultery.
Kendall's awesome – he is, if a little hockey obsessed. But there was nothing there. No spark, no heat, no craving each other all the time. It was totally casual and totally fake. Then the fact that he was cheating on her, which was contributed some.
The water stops, and Jo can smell Camille's perfume from across the room. Camille walks over, slinking her body to fit to Jo's, her wet hair dripping on the blonde girl's shoulder.
"The showers free, babe."
Her voice is soft and sweet, like how it is when she's around Logan. Jo's temper flares when she thinks about Camille's ex. Gay or not, Camille was hers. Even if no one else new. Camille included.
And, it hurt; that she didn't know that Jo was madly in love with her. That they had to keep this
"I'm good."
Her voice sounds tense, even to her own ears. Camille backs up, and turns Jo around so they're face to face.
"Are you all right, you sound upset?" Her voice is laced with concern.
"I'm fine. I just, I can't – I have an audition, I'll call you later or something."
It's a desperate lie that Camille doesn't out on. She knows Jo has no audition, but doesn't want to risk anything.
"Okay then, uh, bye." Camille's a little upset when she doesn't get a reply as the blonde girl strides out.
Jo walks into the Palm Woods Hotel, plastering a smile on to her face. She heads straight to the pool, almost certain that's where Kendall would be. Fake dating or not, she knew him too well.
She's right.
He's lying in one of the chairs, his eyes shut, tanning. She starts to smile fondly – Kendall and her would always be friends- at the boy.
"Hey, having fun?" She knows the seriousness will have to come, but she can put it off.
"Much. So, what's up?" He sits up as he talks, a smile spreading across his face.
"Can we talk?" Kendall's smile falls, and he sighs, standing slowly and leading her back to her apartment.
She still has to smile at how he didn't bitch and say he was doing something. Good boys were hard to find. But, she didn't want one.
"So, let's have it. I'm dumped right?" Kendall is forward and blunt.
