The sun was shinning brightly over the green grass covered land. Birds sang as a warm breeze blew around. But on the far side of the land peace and beauty was far from going on.
"Cyrus! Please Stop!"
A growl and a hit to the face sent a teen coffee brown lioness across a muddy ground. A large dingy brown lion looked over his step daughter with a snarl.
"I give you everything and this is how you repay me! I could of killed you and your siblings!"
The teen sobbed uncontrollably earning a another hit. Not wanting to be seen with any more bruises she rolled over and cried through the pain.

A creamy brown cub laid on her stomach as her tail sway side to side. A borde yawn escaped her muzzle.
"Syria...where's Skye?" asked a one month old light cream cub his amber eyes scanning the tall grasses
The five month creamy brown cub groaned. "I don't know Ditto. She went to talk to Cyrus"
Ditto frowned before flickering his small ears. "I don't trust him. I don't like the way he looks at Skye"
Syria rolled her green eyes before lying her head on her paws. "There's nothing we could do any way"
Soon a coffee brown teen lioness walked through the tall grasses surrounding the clearing that she hid her siblings in.
"Skye!" Ditto cried happily as he ran over to his sister
The coffee brown teen smiled lightly before wincing from the bruises Cyrus left. Syria noticed and became worried.
"Skye did Cyrus do that?"
Skye pushed the cub away and sighed. "Yes but it was in order to keep you and Ditto safe. It was my promise to mom before she died"
"We can't stay here!" tears were falling from Ditto's amber eyes
"And where are we so pose to go, genius!" Syria snapped
Ditto pinned his ears and started to shake. "I heard from some traveling herds that the Pride Lands are nice and so is the king"
Skye sighed deeply. "I don't know"
"Skye...it's better than here!" the light cream cub yelled out
The coffee brown teen looked to the sun setting sky before looking at her little brother. "How long will it take to get there?"
"A few days"
Skye nodded before lying down and pulling her siblings close. "Let me sleep on it"
The cubs were to tire to argue so they curled up against their sister and closed their eyes.

Laughter ran over the now peaceful Pride Lands. All from the young adults who missed so much from their cub hoods. Minus two, a young tan lioness and a young light golden lion with a ginger brown mane.
"Kopa"
The light golden lion turned his bright blue eyes from his sister and brother in law to his bethroled.
"I...just can't believe you're alive. It's been hell for me and Kovu. Nuka too, he missed you too"
Kopa nodded and turned back to look at the sight before them. To see a young pale orange lion with a mild brown mane join.
"Vitani...I'm sorry you and your brothers went through that. But can't we not talk about this...I still have a very bad memory of what happened"
The tan lioness nodded before watching the light golden lion get up and walk away. Vitani sighed before walking over to the young adults playing.
