Sakura did what she did every day for the past two months. She stared out her bedroom window at nothing in particular, just lost in her own mind. In her hands there's a photo. A photo of a man with dark raven locks and warm onyx eyes with his arm around Sakura herself. It was such a happy time, their wedding day. Their faces were comically covered in cake they mashed into each other's faces. The beauty of the image was obscured by large splotches of water. More came raining down on it and the trembling hands holding it. One came up to wipe the tears from her eyes, but it just wouldn't stop. She gave up and let them fall down her wet cheeks. He brought the hand back down, but stopped at her swollen stomach, rubbing gently. A teary smile reached her face as she looked down at her growing baby.

"I hope you look just like him," tears followed her statement and she never thought it could be so painful to smile.

She went into labor the following month. It's been fourteen hours and all she felt was pain and a deep ache of loneliness in her heart. She wanted someone to be there with her. She wanted someone to hold her hand and help get through this. She wanted her husband by her side. She wanted Sasuke! Warmth overflowed her eyes. Her tears of sorrow mixed with her tears of pain. No one could tell the difference anyway.

The cry of an infant opened her eyes. She could finally meet her child. A nurse passed her baby to her. A beautiful baby boy. More tears flooded her eyes. he couldn't believe she had anymore to shed. He was perfect in every way. And...

"He looks just like you Sasuke."

After visiting hours were over Sakura was alone in her room with little Uchiha Senri in her arms.

"He may not be here, but daddy loves you," she still couldn't stop the waterworks, but she can't help but think how unfair this was. To her. To Senri. To Sasuke. He was looking forward to this day the most, to finally having a family again and starting their new lives together. She can remember the days they talked about taking care of their child. The hours he spent kneeling in front of her to speak to their child. And every waking minute he held them both in his arms with a genuine smile on his face. Love shining through his dark eyes. He was so happy, only to have his life ripped away from by a mission gone wrong. Leaving her and their unborn child.

"I wish you were here Sasuke," she thought through her muddled mind. She gently rubbed her tear stained cheek against Senri's soft one. A tear slid off her chin onto his sleeping face, creating a wet track down his cheek. Another painful smile appeared on her face.

"Daddy loves you."

Just something that popped into my head and I've been feeling a bit down.

I hope I didn't make anyone cry 'cause I cried writing this.
