Hey guys I'm glad to be back with help from certain people but man i can't wait to get back into the swing of things
Now this is a remake of my old story alone in the night from my old page so I hope u guys like
Disclaimer: I do not own any character from Balto (I wish...)
Across the snow filled terrain of the Alaskan wild wind whipped pushing up snow and ice into the air to follow the air as it rushes across this barren area where no human would dare challenge Mother Nature herself.
Most animals don't even challenge the harsh cold and wind across this plain, but one animal sits atop a small mound; braving the wind and cold staring out into the heart of this wasteland.
Balto pov
'My mama tracks... There gone now but I wish I could see them so I can find her she's been gone to long now and I think she got lost or maybe just lost track of time. There's no way she would leave me like this' I thought as I felt a shiver run through my small body despite my thick fluffy fur.
I've been following her trail for a little over an hour now before this wind started up and erased all traces of her prints that I was following.
"Can anything else go wrong?" I mumbled under my breath before the ground beneath my right forepaw gave way into a snow hole.
"REALLY" I squeaked before pulling my freezing paw from the snow before trudging my way back to a cave I saw a little while ago.
5 minutes later (3rd person pov)
The cave was cold but much better then the snow out in the open. At least he was able to find a rabbit that got stuck out in the cold so he wouldn't go hungry but he knew he'd have to go to the town he saw a small walk back toward the north since he could not hunt for himself. Now the cave in general was cozy despite the cold but was located in a side of a tiny mountain/hill facing away from the the wind which at least kept the cave a manageable temperature for a wolf like him to live cave was sufficient for him.
So after a little thought of the cave that sheltered him He quickly ate his food then went to the back of his cave to sleep. He sat down in the slight pit in the ground with some foliage in it for comfort and easier sleeping. He then curled up and as soon as his eye lids closed it seemed that everything disappeared as he saw his mother.
A great happiness burst from his chest as he ran up and nuzzled her as if she would disappear in the next moment which he truly believed would happen.
"mama" he asked quietly
"yes my son" she asked with a hint of sadness as if knowing the question to follow.
" why did you leave me all alone, mama" he whimpered to her
"listen here my son, you must understand what it is to be a wolf; even if you are a half- breed. Show pride in your heritage; you are not some insolent dog that needs humans …for you are one of the few great animals of the land. Now go and survive my son and live, for me"
with that he opened his eyes to the morning dawn, stood up then stretched to ease his muscles into working order then headed towards the town for breakfast muttering while he trampled and stumbled through the snow that was almost to his belly.
When he reached the hill peak he stopped to watched some small puppy' s playing for a while wishing that he could join in and have some sort of joy in his isolated life but sadly he couldn't he then headed towards the butcher shop to see if there was any food there.
As he walked he sighed and muttered "just another day"...
So what do you guys think about my story please R&R any comments and corrections are welcomed and cherished...
It's good to be back guys (and ladies)
Until next time..
