Authors note: This is my first fanfic EVER so please give me critisim on how to make it better I've tried really hard to check for spelling mistakes and grammar but please tell me if I have made a mistake but I am using English grammar so we might spell differently I'm not sure when in the series this is based on so I might be vague

Chapter 1

Lucy Pov (past)

It hurts, I didn't want it to end up like this but it did because I failed. again. If only I had been there, It was tearing me apart piece by piece ripping and shredding me till nothing was left. I failed to protect my friends... My Natsu... I looked up resting my eyes at his sleeping face wishing again and again it was me lying there half dead. Not him...

A year earlier

3rd person Pov

"Oi! get off Natsu!" Lucy yelped in exasperation gasping for air as the boy had leapt on her from the window by her bed.

"Come on Luce..." moaned the salmon pink haired boy in unision to his blue companion while both of them clambered off the poor girl.

"You know I can kick you both out" Lucy stated giving them the death stare of a lifetime, literally.

"But you wouldn't dare do that to your best friends in need of food and rest would you?" whined the 'starving' duo both giving her the puppy dog eyes flashig their eyelashes at her.

"Yes I would, come on now get out my house!" stated the blonde while trying to bundle him and Happy up and out the window " not happening Luce I'm way stronger than you no way can you get me out" taunted Natsu flexing his muscles, (take as you will) she kept trying to push, having no effect...Natsu snorted "hahahahaha!!! that tickles!"

he yelped.

"So you have a soft spot for your tummy then?" Teased Lucy "Your gonna get it now Dragneel!" Lucy quickly ducked to the left avoiding Natsus outstreched arm a failing attempt to protect himself, she went in with her shoulder pinning his arm to the wall and pushing him over her beds head board, both of them flopping down into the soft matress and then the tickling began... it started with a chuckle then some snorting, okay alot of snorting and then an outrageously loud laugh escaped his lips.

Noticing this Lucy tickled more but Natsu was having none of it, he quickly grabbed Lucys hands and shoved her off the bed into the rug. He heard he mummur something about an ungrate full brat as she collected some blankets and slept on the couch.

Snuggling into the duvy he whispered goodnight he slowly dosed off to sleep...

Grays Pov

The doors slammed open and in bounced a bright and lively Natsu with a Happy at his heels. "Come on Lucy we came here early so we can get all the good jobs before their gone!" He moaned to Lucy who was outside still, I soon realised that Natsu must have done something as Lucy dragged herself into the guild with her eyes literally shut, Lycy was so tired! She only just was able to murmur to me about my clothes, which I quickly jumped up to try and find them.

"Yo flame brain! Quit dragging Lucy about she clearly needs to sleep" I shouted at the dunce after retreaving my clothes as Lucy had began to fall asleep at the table " who asked you popsicle?" Questioned Natsu " Cause I'm just grabbing a quest then me, happy and Lucy are gonna go-do-the-quest capish?"

"Well, then I'm coming! No way am I leaving Lucy to you she'll be burnt before you even arrive!" I felt a sudden knock on my shoulder her blonde hair brushing down my arm, "Gray it's okay I should have went to bed earlier" she answered

"Still you need to sleep"

"I'll sleep on the train"

"Not with him throwing up eveywhere you won't"

"I'l be fine"

"At least let me come"

"Fine, sure I'm not sure which quest we are going on yet anyway"

"Yeah, okay lets get a good one" I cried trying to have the energy of two people cause Lucy was down.

"A mission you say?" I heard a soft chewing sound behind me, Erza, She was standing there one hand holding a plate full of strawberry cheese cake and another holding her 'special' cake fork "We could all go together the whole group!" I cried and then she stuffed her fork with cheese cake and plopped it in her mouth. "All of us, together...? Lucy asked turning my whole body towards her "Surely you guys would be better off on an S-class mission or something not stuck with me..."

"Why would we mi-" I had started but was rudely interupted by...

"Lushie we got an awsome quest your just gonna love it!!!" Stated Happy dragging her along to see the poster "Ta da!!!" Natsu and Happy cried both jumping down on one knee doing jazz hands to fully display the request board clearly notioning to the one they had chosen Lucy leaned into the poster her eyes still struggling to work, her eyes widened "No way... I'M NOT DOING THAT YOU IDIOTS" She bellowed at the top off her voice towering over them "forget it no way" she said folding her arms

"Well come on Luce, it's not like you can stop us" Natsu said directly at her winking afterwards

"Fine" she said in a quick defeat "but that was a one off" she stated with uncertainty. I have no idea what they are talking about! I decided not too ask because I was scared about what the answer could be...
