While Xander watched A Charlie Brown Christmas Spike watched Xander. They had been flirting with each other for about a month now but neither of them had yet to make a move. Not that Spike minded flirting but he wanted more damn it. So here he was staring at Xander who had the nerve to be sucking on a giant candy cane. And the worst thing was Spike didn't even think Xander knew what he was doing. He was too damn absorbed with his stupid cartoon.
Spike watched as a little drool escaped Xander's mouth and ran down his chin. The jeans Spike was wearing got a little tighter.
Xander removed the candy cane from his mouth with a loud slurp and wiped his chin dry. He then processed to wrap his lips around the candy cane and started to suck on it again.
Five minutes later Spike couldn't take it anymore. "Would you bloody well stop that!" he yelled.
The volume of Spike's voice startled Xander so back that he dropped his candy cane on the wooden floor causing the sugary goodness to break into several pieces. Xander stared down in horror. Like it was one of the worst things he'd ever witnessed. "What the hell, Spike? That was the last one the candy store had!"
Spike hadn't meant for Xander to drop his treat. He just wanted him to stop doing what he was doing for five minutes. Spike cleared his throat. "Sorry about that, Xan. I just needed to you stop that."
Xander was still annoyed. "What exactly did you need me to stop?"
Xander could be so naïve at times. It was one of the things Spike liked about him. "All that… sucking! It's bloody rude."
"Oh, sorry. You could have said something we could have split it," Xander replied.
Naïve indeed.
"Oh for Pete's sake!" Spike growled before lunging himself at Xander, kissing him.
Xander wasn't completely sure what had just happened but he was in no way about to complain. He wrapped his arms around Spike and pulled him onto his lap. Xander pulled back. "So was I right about being a nummy treat?"
"Oh, you were right, pet. You are a nummy, minty treat!" Spike said and dove back in. He hoped that he could find more candy canes for Xander.
The End
