"…I just hoped that one of you would show yourselves." Ron turned to look at Harry happily. "And you did." He sighed in relief. Hermione kept her arms crossed defiantly trying desperately to remain mad. Harry however nodded completely forgiving his best friend turned brother.
In the distance the sun came out from the clouds it shone and spangled in all its beauty, casting the three friends in a glittering light. Both Harry and Hermione looked toward the sun in vague shock. And something clicked in Harry's mind
"Clever." Harry muttered. Ron and Hermione turned toward him confused.
"What?" Ron asked.
"The Sun." Ron and Hermione glanced at each other looking positively worried.
"Yeah mate what about it?"
"When you were gone Ron, it was always hid behind the clouds. It was never there and there was no light."
Ron looked at him thoughtfully and Harry continued.
"You said the light in the Delluminator went into you. Right here." Harry touched his chest near this heart and Ron nodded his red hair glimmering. "It was already in you Ron. In your heart. Don't you get it? That was what Dumbledore was trying to say by giving it to you. The light represents you."
Hermione looked curious now unable to keep up her moody façade any more.
"Ron when you were away, everything was so dark, so depressing and so suffocating. Because Ron your that little ball of light. You shine over everything and make it all seem better even beautiful. You make everything clear and we can see clearly what were fighting for. Because even in the most depressing times, with you it's… I don't know… happy. And Dumbledore knew that you'd always want to come back Ron, to where you belong. He knew we'd always need you, without you we would have gone mad or given up and just let them win you're what drives us Ron keeps us together and without you everything seems dark and pointless."
Harry looked at Ron who's sapphire blue eyes were overwhelmed. They shared a deep look that only brothers could understand.
"Happiness can be found in the darkest of times. If only one remembers to turn on the light." Hermione quoted there former headmaster looking at Ron amazed. He looked back at her lovingly.
"You our own ball of light Ron." Harry smiled.
And Ron smiled lighting up the darkened forest.
