"Let's do this!" Zane and Jaden exclaimed as the Slifer and Obelisk student faced each other on the dueling platform with the whole school watching.
Zane 4000- Jaden 4000
"Get your game on Zane." Jaden said as he drew his cards, "So who makes the first move?"
"You can choose." Zane replied calmly.
Jaden thought for a second before answering, "In that case I'll go first."
That's just like him Zane thought, "Very well."
By going first, I can bring out a powerful monster then place a facedown to protect it, "First I'll summon out my Elemental Hero Wildheart in defense mode," On his field crouched in a defensive position appeared a wild man with long dark hair with a large grey sword strapped to his back. "Then I'll place two cards facedown. Your move Zane."
Zane 4000- Jaden 4000
Zane looked over his cards before sighing 'I guess this duel is going to end sooner than I thought', "I play Polymerization to fuse the three Cyber Dragons in my hand to summon my Cyber End Dragon!" Zane held up his three Cyber Dragons as they fused together to create a giant three headed version of each one.
"He's gotten it out already!?" Syrus exclaimed from the stands.
"At least he has those facedown cards." Bastion pointed out.
"You're right that means he still has a chance even if they won't help him he'll still have 1600 life points left." Alexis agreed.
Well that's just great Jaden thought to himself as the dragon towered above him.
"Next I'll play this card facedown. Now Cyber End Dragon destroy Jaden's wild heart!" Cyber End Dragon roared before sending three blue blasts of energy that fused together to make one powerful blast straight at Jaden's hero.
"Don't think so!" Jaden exclaimed, "I play the trap card Draining Shield so now I all of your dragon's attack point get added to my life points and its attack is negated!"
"You'd think so wouldn't you, but not this time! I play my De-Fusion!" The facedown on his field filled up revealing a backwards version of Polymerization. Then Cyber End Dragon began to glow as it disappeared and three Cyber Dragons took its place on Zane's field, "And with my Cyber Dragon gone your Draining Shield no longer has a target so its effect is null and void!"
Jaden stood there in stunned silence
"Now Cyber Dragon number one destroy Wildheart with strident blast!" One of the Cyber Dragons flew forward before letting loose a blue blast that destroyed Wildheart, "It seems this duel is over Jaden. Now my remaining two dragons attack him directly and end this duel!" The last two dragons twisted their heads around each other before each of them blasted Jaden with their Strident Blasts.
Zane 4000- Jaden 0000
"Oh no!" Alexis gasped as the smoke cleared from the attacks to reveal Jaden on his back.
"It seems that Zane has won and on his first turn too!" Doctor Crowler exclaimed in glee earning a slight look from the Chancellor.
Jaden sat up to see Zane looking at him in disappointment, "You disappoint me Jaden it seems I was wrong about you. And to think you're the one who beat the three sacred beasts." He shook his head before looking to the Chancellor and he nodded before leaving the arena.
Jaden sat there for what felt like hours before Syrus and Alexis came over and escorted him back to the red dorm.
