Riiiight well anyway this is probably going to be my first multi chapter thing. It's theories on Naruto and things I think might happen.

in other words rambling and guess work.

Mind controlseals

In Naruto Fanfiction we have a lot of stories that use mind control seals, some of these people break with "willpower and love' others are a sure fire way to have a slave. In actual Naruto The closest we see to loyalty seals are orochimaru's curse seal and sasori's spy jutsu (and yes I'm counting it on this).

So now I'm going to put down my own version and thoughts while putting down what I think of the others the direct "you are now my slave" seal will be the first I talk all honestly a direct mind control seal would be a bad idea because there is the subconscious. While all of the bodies higher functions could be blocked or redirected easily enough the subconscious deals with EVERYTHING. from breathing and thinking, to love and more. If the higher mind is controlled or being influenced you probably wont know but your subconscious would because of how quickly your higher mind functions are changing and would probably start sending off warning bells and wearing away at the seal to return you to normal.

so I guess since we've talked about fanfictions we'll move onto Sasori's. Now before anyone says anything about it being a jutsu not a seal I'm just going to point out that these spies are in the middle of ninja villages so these cant be jutsu or they would be detected by village sensor nin. Also they would need an active source of energy while seals can run off a bodies own energy. Sasori has also shown he knows at least a little fuinjutsu as the summoning scrolls he uses (he probably also uses them for making and equipping his puppets).Sooooo...yeah. fuinjutsu. deal with it.

Sasori isn't really mind control so much as mental manipulation. He already has these people loyal to him but he manipulates the mind to return it to it's state before his intervention. There is also what happens when he deactivates the seal and the mind returns to how it was after he gained their loyalty. It seems more and more like a cut and paste kind of thing then true mind control. cut out any loyalties or conflicting feelings gained while under the seal and pasting loyalty and devotion in it's place. The problem with something like this is that while humans are adaptable we also have mental stress points. for some this seal could probably be used 3-4 times safely, but for others it might not even be 1 before the mind begins to degrade.

Now honestly in terms of mind control the closest to getting it right to me is the Curse seal developed by Orochimaru. From my understanding it is meant to weaken a mind for Orochimaru so it's designed to cause mental imbalance. But he's also stated (and shown) that he can use it to control his seal receivers to a degree (aka when he used it on sexy snake lady Anko). I think the seal once placed on the body begins rewiring the subconscious as soon as placed on the body (the fever/death period) this causes serious sickness as the bodies signals are mixed up. after it's completed it's initial changes and situated it's self in the body it goes in a semi-dormant state (I'm assuming the first changes are increased aggression and a slight adrenaline/euphoria when using the seal). Then it starts making more changes with each activation. This could have easily been the perfect mind control jutsu except for 2 problems. It's progress is dependent on it's frequency of use. It's activation is HIGHLY visible making it useless except for assassinations or unsuspected targets.
