AN: I've decided to do a series of monologues from the anime Inuyasha. They're in poetry format and first person narrative. This is also kind of bittersweet. Doesn't really have a happy ending. Kagome's and Inuyasha's monologue tells one story, while Sango's tells another, and Miroku's tells another. However, they're both intertwined into one whole story.

Monologue: Kagome

Here I lay in my grave
Death caused by old age
When I left this cruel world
I thought of him
And, everyone I left in the feudal era
We've fought a lot of demons
And went on many adventures
But never once did I
Admit my true feelings
To my hanyou
That is my one and only regret

Monologue: Inuyasha

It seems my fate
As a half-dog demon
To fall in love with humans
And look where it got me
All alone
Forced to live an eternity
Without love
I once did love someone
I never told her
For fear of getting hurt
But now, eighty years later
I realize I was a fool then
I thought I was protecting myself
Turns out I was doing my heart more harm
I think about my Kagome
Every second of my endless, dreary life
I long to hold her
And kiss her strawberry lips
She's in my dreams
Every time I close my eyes
And every time I breathe

Monologue: Sango

Everything that we've gone through with Naraku
Seems nothing
Compared to saying good-bye
As they say, all good things must come to an end
And a battle between good and evil
Ended
But so did great friendships
Our mission to get our revenge is done
But I cannot ignore
This sadness
It hurts ten times more
Than a piercing sword
We might have won the final battle
But with each battle comes consequences
And this is our consequence…
To never cross paths again

Monologue: Miroku

I will never forget them
Or our last battle
Funny how things work out in the end
We almost didn't make it
Naraku was pretty powerful
And he didn't waste any time attacking us
When the battle was over
We were battered
And covered in our own blood
At least we made it out
All in one piece
I've been so obsessed with killing Naraku
And getting my revenge
Now that it's over
I don't know where to go from here
