Resident Evil: A New Threat
Chapter 1 of my updated Resident Evil story, enjoy.

Chapter 1: Mission Briefing
In early January of 2010 the Umbrella Corporation had its dark secrets revealed and was forced to shut down. Following the incident that led to Umbrella's collapse the US government funded a new organization that was to be specially trained to prevent any further outbreaks caused by Umbrella's viral weaponry, the main concern being Umbrella's competitors attempting to outdo the fallen company, this organization was called the BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance).

Over a year has passed since the collapse of Umbrella, there have been various small scale outbreaks caused by Black Market dealings of B.O.W.s. however now a large scale outbreak has been reported and will soon begin another incident that will require the best the BSAA has to offer.
Michael Pierce, the head of BSAA, he is forty years of age, has a black army style haircut and black eyes, he is six foot one and weighs seventy kilos. He is currently dressed in a black business suit and is sitting at his desk in his office, reading over three files. The first file detailed the layout of a mission that had been planned, the other two files were dossiers on the agents he was planning to send to do the mission, he carefully read over the dossiers on the agents, the first one ran as follows.

Height: 172cm

Position: Alpha Team Leader
The second dossier read as follows.
Name: Angela Mason
Age: 18
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Hair: Brown
Eye Colour: Blue
Gender: Female
Height: 160cm
Weight: 56.7 kg
Position: Alpha Team Second in Command, Medic
After reading them he heard a knock at the door, he called for the person to come in.
The door opened and a woman aged twenty-three stepped in, she had light blonde straight chin length hair and dark blue eyes. She was currently wearing a dark pink tube-top and fashionably torn denim jeans as well as a pair of black hi-heels, it was Amy Prescott, the woman who had helped in the destruction of Umbrella, she had dyed her hair a lighter shade of blonde than it had been back then and cut it to the length it was now but otherwise she looked the same, she was also the same height and weight. She handed a document to Michael and spoke.
"My mission report for last week's mission, as you requested." She told him, business-like.
Amy was also part of the BSAA now and was a member of Alpha team. Michael nodded and then spoke.
"I have another mission for you, however before I tell you about it I need you to find Kyle Harvey and Angela Mason," He informed her, "I have a mission for them too."
"Sure thing," Amy replied with a smile.
Amy then left the office and began searching the BSAA HQ for Kyle and Angela, on the way she ran into another member of the organization, Bravo Team's Leader, Brian Donovan, now forty-five, his black hair remained in its usual crew-cut style, he was currently dressed casually in a simple jeans and T-shirt combination as he was between missions at the moment, he looked up and smiled when he saw Amy.
"Hey Amy, what's up?" He greeted her, friendly.
"The boss' got me looking for Kyle and Angela," She told him, before asking, "Have you seen them".
Brian thought for a moment.
"I think they're in the training room," he eventually replied.
Amy nodded and headed in the direction of the training room. When she entered she found Kyle and Angela in the middle of a sparring match, their current clothing consisted of a pair of dark blue pants and, in Kyle's case a similar coloured tank-top while Angie wore a dark blue sports bra, they were also wearing dark blue padded hand and foot protectors.
Amy watched for a while as they continued to train their unnamed combat skills, both their fighting styles consisted of mixed martial arts to allow greater versatility. After some sparring Kyle landed a hit that knocked Angela to the ground, he smiled and helped her back to her feet, offering advice as he did so.
"Remember Angie, keep your guard up," He told her, "Maintain your balance."
They continued until both were knocked to the ground, Kyle chose that moment to pin Angela and then lean in and kiss her. Amy hated to interrupt had she knew Michael didn't like to be kept waiting, she called out to them.
"Hey lovebirds," She called out, fighting back a laugh.
They both looked up, Kyle helped Angela back to her feet and they both approached Amy.
"What's up?" Angela asked.
"The boss is looking for ya, better hurry, sounds like a mission," She told them, "I've gotta go get ready, he's got another one lined up for me too".
So after quickly getting changed back into more casual clothing Kyle and Angela hurried to Michael's office. Michael waited until they had sat down and then spoke.
"Okay, here's your mission," He told them before giving them the details,
"Dave Snyders of Alpha was assigned to investigate a potential outbreak in a remote town in Southern Mexico. Recently we lost contact with him, his last transmission before his radio cut off was simply 'Las Plagas'."
After giving them this information he gave them their orders, "Your mission is to find out what happened to him, discover what this 'Las Plagas' is and then, if it's a bio weapon threat, put a stop to it and retrieve a sample for preparations of a vaccine, any questions."
"None sir," They replied.
Michael nodded and then continued.
"Okay, you're to go prepare at once and set of as soon as you're ready." He paused briefly and then told them "Charlie team is currently on stand-by so I'll have Rachel Thompson maintain communications with you. That is all."
"Yes sir."
Following this they left the office and header for their lockers to get ready for their mission, as they left they passed Amy, who was already dressed in her mission gear. She had tied her hair back into a short ponytail and was wearing a dark pink short sleeved T-shirt, black fingerless gloves along with black pants and black shoes, she nodded to them and headed into the office to receive her mission briefing. Kyle wondered as he walked to his locker with Angela if this was the beginning of another outbreak that would cause great destruction. Something that hadn't happened again after Umbrella's demise, he hoped that it wouldn't be as dangerous as that but still had a bad feeling about the mission.
