But otherwise I'll never know – Jess and Becker, Primeval

Jess' P.O.V

I'm close to tears now, but I'll keep it in, I don't want to cause a fuss. I really didn't want to come, but he's my best friends, I couldn't say no.

So now I'm here watching the man I love get married… to someone else. He stands at the altar and casts a nervous glance towards me. I smile and give him a thumbs up, nodding towards his bride who's walking up the isle towards him.

Then the preacher starts talking. Blah blah blah, gees, they go on Forever!

"… Speak now or forever hold your peace…" Speak. That word echoes through my mind, choking my thoughts. The one thing I couldn't do 2 years ago. Speak…

I don't know what has changed, but I'm standing. All the confidence that left me last time, has come back to finish what we started.

"Becker!" I choke. Everyone gasps and stares. "No, no! Don't worry! I don't have a reason these two shouldn't be together! I don't want to have one, because they are perfect for each other! But I can't live without saying it! Becker I still love you, you're amazing! Too good for me! I know I should have told you before but I couldn't. So here I am, saying it now. I love you, but, Becker, I am so, so, so happy for you right now." His bride, my good friend, came over and hugged me tight.

"I'm glad you said, I'm proud of you." She whispered to me before returning to her spot by Becker's side.

The rest of the wedding was a blur. But I will always remember that day.

"If you and I are a story, that never gets told,

If what you are is a daydream, I'll never get to hold…

At least you'll know."

HEY! Hang on! That's not the end! That's not the reason I'll always remember that day.

I watched as they drove off into the sunset. I sighed, sitting down on the cold stone steps of the church. I looked to my right to see someone else, a guy, sitting right on the other side of the steps. I stood up and made my way towards him, sitting down next to him. He had dark curly black hair, green eyes and a gloomy expression.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Hmm? Oh, yeah, I'll be fine thanks." He smiled and looked at the ground. "Although I was kind of here to tell the bride something, but it doesn't matter."

"What kind of something?"

"Well, I've kind of been in love with her for a very long time now" He said, the sad expression returning.

"Hmm, funny, I was here to do the same thing for the groom" I smirked.

"Really?" He almost shouted. I nodded "I'm Devon. You?"

"Jess." I replied, shaking his hand.

"Well, Jess, would you like to get some coffee with me sometime?"

"Now's good" I smiled, walking off with him.

That's why I'll always remember that day. That was the day I met my husband.

So what do you think of the sequel? :) Please review :)
